Magic Bands or Magic Mobile

My travel party is 2 adults and 5 children under the age of 10. We do not have magic bands. Should I use magic mobile for everyone on my phone, or is it better to get everyone a band? I am most concerned about if our party splits up and photos on rides. Thoughts?

We did bands for everyone 2 adults 3 kids under 10. The 2 older children really got a kick out of opening the door and scanning for pictures. No panic about what happened if the cell battery ran out or having the pull the phone out of our pockets with full hands.
Unless you are a collector dont bother with the expensive ones. We got solid colors and the kids were thrilled with them.

I would get bands for the kids / definitely any kids that don't have phones. Otherwise, the adults are going to have to scroll through to find each park pass every time you enter a park, and twice when using G+ or ILL.

Alternately you can use the actual park pass and get an ID/Badge holder with a lanyard for the kids so they can tap in themselves.

Definitely get bands for the kids, and yourselves. The bands can be used to pay at shops (as long as you link a card to it).

Charging is only an option if staying onsite - OP didn't indicate if they were.

I think it will make your life a lot easier to get bands. I am here now with just 2 kids and regret not getting them bands.

If you're looking for solid color bands look in the morning. They're very limited in stock but seem to update in the morning. Everyone needs to order at once too.
