Magic Bands Onsite, Then Offsite

I am considering staying onsite 1 day to get the magic bands and be able to book FP+ at 60 days. If I then spend 7 days offsite, will the magic bands still work for the rest of my trip if tickets are attached or will they be deactivated? Also will I be able to book all of my FP (onsite and offsite) if I have the onsite reservation at the beginning of my trip?
