Magic Bands - Names inside?

So we are ticking down on our days to personalize our bands and were thinking of putting our nicknames on the bands. But then I wondered if the name you ask Disney to put on the band, it that the name they see? Meaning say my name on my reservation is Wilma Flintstone but I customize the magic band to read Willy. Will they call me by the nickname (meaning can the CM's see the name on the band) or will they call me Wilma?

They use your real name ; that is what flashes to them when your band is scanned, not the name on the band

They generally won't "call you..." anything.

They didn't call me by anything. I have one Magic Band that reads "Christa" but our last said said "Mommy, Daddy, and Stink". Nobody called my kid Stink on our trip

I have my family nickname on all of my bands except one (that was as some Star Wars names, since it was used during SWW) but my real name flashed when it is scanned at FP (I snuck a peak at one of the rides). I've never had anyone call me by name, but they have said to my mom "have a great ride, Elsie" (her bands say mom)
