Magic Bands link

We have our resort only reservation right now and customized our MB because tomorrow was the last day to do so.

We will be buying the Park tickets in about 2 weeks...do we just link the tickets to the band online before we go, or will we need to do that when we arrive?

You don't link your tickets to your Magic Bands, you link them to your MDE account. (Magic Bands are just a way to access the information in your MDE account.) I think you just have to enter a code number from the tickets (it might even happen automatically when you purchase them, but I'm not sure because I haven't gone on a trip since MDE was introduced), and you would definitely want to do that before you go because you need to have linked tickets to book FP+.

With MDE I just used the app and scanned the bar code on the back of my ticket to link it to my acct.

Definitely link your bands before you go so that you're all set when you get to the park. You need to have your My Disney Experience account set up before you start to link.
