Magic Bands - Is there a large selection in the park? Anyone done the on-demand MBs?

We're looking to buy some fun MBs for the kids, but I'm seriously underwhelmed by the designs on the shop disney website. My mother-in-law will be in the parks soon and was thinking about buying them or doing the on-demand printing. Anyone in the know about what they're offering for Star Wars bands (especially interested in R2D2) or Frozen (ELSA!!)? Is there a way to look at the designs for the on-demand personalized bands?

I know there's a great selection in the parks, including personalized ones. I can't speak specifically to Star Wars or Frozen, but I know there's a lot. Our kids had custom ones made not too long ago. Ordered them in the gift shop at Space Mountain. I think it took something like 30-45 minutes to have them done.

There are tons of Star Wars bands - both in Magic Kingdom - and especially at the Star Wars area in Hollywood Studios - we have had several on-demand ones done there - and they turned out great. Takes about 20 to 30 minutes - depending on how busy they are. I really wish that Disney would give you a credit or gift card for opting out of the Magic Bands so you can use it towards the limited edition ones. I just can't see spending $20+ for something I already get for free. But .. I would love to get one, if I could just get a credit for the normal colored ones they send me EVERY trip (even though I don't need them).
