Magic Bands info for the new test dates in August

Magic Bands arrived today! (I ordered them Friday afternoon).

Also, we did not receive a letter or email. BUT we booked through a TA and she received a list of clients who were invited to participate and we were on that list. (I discovered it on my own when logging into MDE and it prompted me to customize the bands and make FP+ ressies).

HTH someone!

**************** has a nice video tutorial on the magic bands.

Interesting comments from Iger....

Disney Profits inch up.. Iger said the project MyMagic began a new "beta phase" Aug. 2 in which the systems will ultimately be used by more than 80,000 customers. He said guests who have used the features in early tests have reacted positively, though he did not elaborate. Iger said Disney is now targeting a "probable full rollout in the early part" of its 2014 fiscal year, which begins in October. Executives had previously said they were aiming to have MyMagic+ fully implemented by the end of this year. Disney profit inches up as travelers spend more -

This is so annoying......the website is so slow and not at all user friendly. I'm picking my FP+ for next week, and I only want to pick 2 for now for MK. It's giving me bonus picks that I don't want. Is there any way to get rid of them??

Just a suggestion... I had a lot of problems doing it in chrome and none in safari. Maybe try another browser? :goodvibes:

Not that I have found. I only wanted Maelstrom on our first Epcot day, but it gave me two others also.

No, you have to take all of your FPs at the same time. This is a really bad waste of FPs. Sometimes we just want to schedule 1 or 2 rides but it forces us to take them all so we just let the others go to waste.

I wouldn't normally go around to FP machine for rides I had no intention of going on and randomly pull FPs. Forcing these on ppl takes them away from ppl who actually want them.

I have had success going in manually after Disney chunks them together. Then you can reschedule them for whenever you want through the day as long as they don't overlap. Good luck!

This is exactly what I did, and got the times that I wanted, although it took some doing because the site frequently goes down.

Yeah, but I only want 2 and its forcing me to pick 2 more that I'm not going to use at all, so what a waste!

Okay....BREAKING NEWS...... :rotfl2:

Well this is the first time I have heard this anyways...... :lmao:

Tech support just informed me, that you can only use fastpass+ for a maximum of four days (one day at each park) on your trip, even if you have ten day tickets. I said, "But I have fastpasses booked for all ten of my days!" She said, "Sorry, you will have to decide which four days you will use fastpass+."

Can anyone testing now either confirm or deny??? :confused3

I guarantee you that has not come up in any testing so far. :)

I seriously doubt it is accurate.

It just amazes me how ill informed these tech people are. :sad2: I know if I call back in 5 minutes I will get completely different info.

Maybe because of all the bugs in the system they are changing the rules as the testing goes along. Who knows or maybe no one knows what is really going on maybe they are just as confused as us.

And I should know better... I promised myself I would not call back. :rolleyes1

LOL, these changing stories just kill me. Don't you just wonder if CMs are making this stuff up? :lmao:

Maybe the CM meant, you will only get hand holding assistance for 4 days and then you are on your own. LOL

So the question is, say this 4-day rule ends up being true, can you use the regular FPs on the other days? Or is it all-in or nothing? Like if you use FP+ even once, you are precluded from using the regular FPs?

I really am not liking this whole FP+ thing At. ALL. I don't see any benefit to it with all these stupid restrictions: 3 max per day; only 1 park per day; cannot be used with regular FPs. IF they removed all those restrictions, it could be great! I don't even understand what purpose all those rules serve
