Magic Bands info for the new test dates in August

Customized Magic Bands with 16 days to go and received them today Next Day Air with 14 days to go! Very Quick and cool. The kids and I are wearing them to break them in before we go.

I've been trying, too. I haven't seen an option to actually choose it ever when i've clicked on the "request fastpass" button. It also only shows up when I'm logged in. I'm hoping that it will be available as a same day FP+ when we get there.

Same here. I've clicked on it, but it still doesn't show up as an option.

Maybe they'll be turning it on as an option later? If so, I wonder when... I'm guessing those will go fast!

Is a same day FP+ an option? Is it in addition to the passes already chosen or do you need an open slot to do this?

Yes to both. You need a open slot. You can swap out FP+ same day if need be.

Has anyone been able to add Be Our Guest to their FP+? It shows up as an option when I look under dining (request a FP and FP+ available) but when I go in under the dates it is not an option. Maybe they are all taken? Not working correctly?

It's a bug. I reported it a week or so ago to the phone number for MDX experience. FP+ for BOG is not part of this test - according to the CM who talked to her supervisors about it.

I was just able to customize my magic bands, in the menu it went from saying manage magic bands to personalize magic bands. I thought purple was supposed to be an option? Kind of bummed it wasn't available!

Nope, no purple (although I don't know why): Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow, Orange, Iconic Gray

I'm going to go all politically incorrect here, but I'm going to say that they wanted to include girly pink (every girl wants pink, doesn't she? ), so they simply took ROYGBIV and substituted pink for purple (violet), and gray for indigo since nobody knows what indigo really looks like.

You are probably right...and pink will probably outsell them all...

Because it's gray.

I have the same thing happening, I am 32 days out and today was the first time I can make fastpass+ selections but cannot customize the band. Hopefully as the day goes on it will be available!

If u dont mind me asking what resorts are you guys staying at whose messages just popped up for the first time? I'm wondering if its another round of testing for different resorts

Yeah, it's the least offensive, least distracting, and goes with any outfit color. Plus, the boringness of gray encourages people to buy those expensive decorative sleeves.

I'm sure that's their exact reason. I even said it myself "Well, if we end up with grey ones we can customize in the park with accessories!" I'm a total Disney sheep baaaaahhh.
