It also indicates that nearly everyone staying at the four resorts are eligible. Could be a big test.
Yes expanding even more..
Again other rumor was going live by FW.
We're exactly 17 days out today, and the letter and the bands came at the same time (separate packages, though). So maybe the "17-day Rule" is spot-on.
I don't know if it is a rumor, or just supposition on our part. F&W could be a big win for a convenient small payment system...which is where some of the "guest spending increase" is supposedly coming from. And it is a somewhat slower time that the beginning of August or the holidays - a good time to get the kinks worked out but with a wide audience.
I think you have it backwards (or I read your post wrong) but they are shipped to the resort If you live OUTSIDE the US.
I never received an email telling me I was eligible to be part of the test, I went online and was able to request my bands pick my fast pass times. A few days later Fex Ex dropped off a letter, it was from Disney saying I had been chosen to participate. Kind of seems like a waste of money when all they had to do was email me.
I received the bands today and immediately put mine on. I had to make it tight to feel comfortable on my wrist or else I would be playing with it the whole time I had it on, I wore it an hour and my wrist started sweating while wearing it in the air conditioned house, is that just me being to sensitive to wearing it. The whole time I kept thinking, how is my son who has issues with the way some things feel and fit going to wear this. I don't know if anyone has answered that question, but has Disney thought of this and what is the solution?
I have a question for all August testers.....
If you received an official email to test or if you simply went on the website to customize and order your bands, did you do online check in or not??
I'm curious to see if doing online checkin or not makes a difference in terms of being eligible for the test.
Good idea. I just put mine one, and I'm going to wear it for a little while to test how it feels.
I'm not sure, but I thought I read that one person put her kids' bands on the strap of her bag rather than have them wear it. That way, it's always available to scan and won't get lost.
I can't wait for the thick tan line that band will cause.Looks like I won't be wearing a watch during this trip, as I don't really want something on both wrists.
I'm excited about them, but I'm still undecided on my final opinion.
Do you have to be available to sign for either the UPS bands or FedEx letter?
Our MBs are due today too. But don't expect the magic letter until Friday at the earliest...we are 23 days out...
ETA...we won't be doing online checkin
Second ETA: UPS has "issues" with our address...anyway MBs are due tomorrow now...and wondering about the "letter" Will it go to our PO box or our house? If our house then we won't get it until a week from today because of UPS's "issues".
Now go fight some crime!
I've wondered if getting the magic bands and doing Fastpass+ meant you had to do online check in. So are you saying that is not required? That I can get my bands and schedule fastpass+ attractions without doing online checkin???
