Magic Bands info for the new test dates in August

Thank you for the confirmation. I knew it seemed way too solid to be a goof. I also noticed that Fantasmic caused some issues yesterday. It was available to me, but when I selected it, it gave me some message about "Some of the options you selected are not available, we've replaced them with other options you might like" or something of that nature, but they were all still the same, and I was able to select Fantasmic.

Wishes, however, only showed up as an option for me on one of my Magic Kingdom days, so I may go back and re-do that.

But my question from the other thread remains (and perhaps it's been answered in one of the other mega-threads?) - what will FP+ at Fantasmic or Wishes get you? Reserved seating?

I mean I can't say for 100% sure. I just know I didn't get a email but did get conformation that I will be getting magic bands. Maybe I will still get one but I have a hard time getting resort conformation emails. So I'm not holding my breath.

Well I am eligible for this too. Not sure if it is a good or bad thing. Ugh. We are staying at the Yacht. I went in and selected my colors for the magic bands for my family, but have yet to select any FP+ items.

All the times are after lunch, or in the evening. I just want to know if we will be able to double dip. If not, not real sure I will want to go the FP+ route. We too will arrive very early, stay till around 1:00, leave come back around 8. I need to know, will I be able to double dip or not?

Here are mine so you can get some idea. I have lots of holes we do alot of WP days. Plus we are on the QSDP.

I know there's lots of threads about the magic bands and FP+, but the more I read, the more confused I get!

We're going end of August, staying at POFQ. When I go to MDE online, I can see places to manage bands and FP+, but when I try to do either, it doesn't let me. I booked my package straight through Disney, so don't have tickets until I arrive, so can't link anything that way. I haven't received any e-mails about eligibility for anything and am also waiting on my actual Mickey Mail.

So does all this mean we're not eligible and will just be doing everything the old-fashioned way? Honestly, I hope so!

If somehow we become eligible for FP+, will I still be able to use the actual card reader system at the park? Or do I have to do the three FP+ thing and not be eligible for nay more than that? I would hate to be limited to 3 FP for each day! But I have heard that if you use FP+ you can't pull any FPs at the parks.

I just wish the whole thing would wait until September and I wouldn't have to worry about it!

When you say "all the times are after lunch, or in the evening", where are you seeing that? At the initial "select one of these 4 group choices", or have you selected a group choice, and then gone back in to each individual one to try and move it?

I had TONS of choices when I went in individually and could pretty much pick whenever I wanted for every ride.

Many of the times, (not all) that they give me, we will be back at the hotel resting or swimming at SAB. I have no intention what so ever of being there between 1 pm and say 7 pm. Would like to have one for Wishes though.

You can change the times afterwards. Just select one of their choices, it doesn't matter. Once you get them, then go "update" them one at a time and move them to whenever you want.

Mine initially gave me all mid-day ones when I'll be back at the resort, so I moved them to either before or after that.

I also called today because MDE has had our info wrong ever since we got a price adjustment when the RO discounts were announced back in May. My son(age 5) no longer shows up on the package reservation at all, my husband is listed 2x, once as a child and once as an adult, the package shows we only have 2 adult tickets and no children tickets but it does show we have 2 adult dining plans and 1 child dining plan. My 2 year old is still listed correctly as an infant.

I never worried about the errors since the conformation info from the TA has the correct info. Plus even though they are not showing child tickets, they were showing child meal plan and I knew you could not get the meal plan unless you had tickets.

I didn't want to enter any magic band stuff until they fixed all of that though. The CM I spoke to said she would fix my account but even though I was staying the CR in Aug, unless I got an email, I wouldn't be getting bands or using fastpass+ even if I entered all the info online. She said feel free to play around on the website but we would not get bands.

I hate this runaround. If the bands are available and you are still allowed to double dip, I would love to try out the bands. But so many of our park plans depend on getting FPs and being limited to 3/not being allowed to use the old system is going to throw a wrench in those plans.

Fantasmic! has previously been tested.
It is reserved seating, similar to the Dining Pkg.

Wishes viewing is a reserved standing area in the Hub.

I'm told Wishes viewing is the Rose Garden.

All I can say is that what IT told me if it let you use the DME to set up magic bands and fast passes you will be getting them. Part of the deal is that the emails are only going out something like 17 days before you arrive.

I'm not saying that you're wrong and I'm right. I'm just frustrated that they can't get their story straight. Why does one CM say to one guest "Yes you get bands!" and the next CM says to another guest "No Magicband for you!"

On a positive note, MDE now has all the correct info for my family...my 5 year old has tickets now! We don't have to leave him in the hotel room by himself!

I just signed on to my account and was able to customize my bands and select FP+ for our trip beginning on 8/24. Is it worth it to get FP+ for Illuminations, Wishes and Electrical Parade? I have all 3 right now but not sure if I should keep them.

I am not convinced of the value of these... definitely not Illuminations. You can see that from anywhere... literally. Wishes and EP, perhaps, so you wouldn't have to worry about fighting people. But that eats up two FP+ you could use during the day, so I don't know. You would then only be able to have one FP+ for another attraction during the day.

Oh my. I go to Disney 1-2 a year but I have not for the life of me been following all these FP+ threads now I'm doomed

I am going to BLT on August 25. I have my own tickets not purchased through Disney. Now what? Do I need to wait to be contacted or do I have FP+ privledges?
