Magic Bands for upcoming annual trip

I feel like such a dope for asking this, but here goes. 2 yrs ago, I didn't want to deal with the whole MB thing, so just opted for gray bands at check in. Last year, I customized 4 colors/names for our family. This year I got an email prompting me to update the bands. I had thought they couldn't be re-used, so I threw them away after last year's trip. MY question is: Does WDW assume I still have the old bands? The email showed the exact colors and names I chose for last year. Or are they just assuming we want the same colors/names this year and will ship us new ones? It asks if I want to deactivate each one, in case it was "lost". Long story, short, what should I do to get new bands with same names/colors? Thanks!

Long into your MDE account and you can verify your bands, remove old ones and order new.

You can report your old ones as "LOST".

For upcoming trips, you can customize your bands too.

They always send or make new ones for you. If you customize they mail them. If you don't, they still send grey ones to the hotel. If you know you are not going to need them, you should go in and cancel the new ones.

As Bill mentioned, you can mark the old ones as lost in the website or your MDE cell phone application under Profile -> MagicBands and Cards.

Thank you all. I did list the ones appearing in our account as "lost". Then another screen showed a message saying bands had been shipped. I then logged back in, and a message said I needed to customize the bands by May 12th, so I did. We'll see if one set or two show up.

You went in, listed them as lost, then saw a message saying they had been shipped? Was the date current?

I still have messages that show as new on my account that tell me about MBs that were shipped two years ago. On my Disneyland account, too.
