What's the point of them? If your an off siter, will you buy one? We may purchase one just to unlock the dragon in infinity, but I don't think anyone will actually want to wear it, so what's the point? I'd rather just be the ticket holder so I know my kids won't lose it. Thoughts?!

I doubt that I would. I carry a wallet with ID and credit card and so on and having a pass in there is no big deal. I see no reason to buy these bands.

Not unless there's a "have to" in the future or some sort of incentive that comes with them...

No, No, No and No.

There's zero reason to buy one. It gains you nothing over a ticket.

If Disney wants to track me around the park, I really have no objection to it. But i'm not going to PAY THEM to do it. They should give it to me for free. (and they probably will after a year or so)

I can tell you as an on-site guest the only advantage over a card that I found was opening the resort room door, so I can't imagine why I would ever get one for an off site stay. The only exception might be for use at the water parks, but I've never been to them.

How do you use FP+ without a Magic Band? I thought you needed an MB to get entry to the FP+ line.

Nope, your RFID enabled park ticket works just the same. The only advantage of a MB over ticket is that it is right there on your wrist and you don't have to keep fishing it out of your pocket / wallet at each ride (unless you are my kids who won't wear them)

The benefit is pre booking your FP+

Resort guest get 60 day

Offsite with MB get 30 day

Offsite w/o MB have to do day of in park FP

I saw the price of like $13 and if that's per band its not that bad of a price on a 7 day trip.

You don't need a MB to request FP+ in advance. Your ticket works for this. I did it at the beginning of this month.

Any offsite guest with a TICKET can pre-book Fp+ 30 days in advance if they have linked it to a My Disney Experience account.

A MagicBand is not a necessity - it is equivalent to a hard, plastic ticket for offsite guests.

Having a My Disney Experience account with a ticket linked to it gives anyone the ability to pre-book Fp+.

The only guests who have to book day of Fp+ are those who buy their ticket right before they enter the park. CMs also have to wait to do day of booking.

So if you already have 6 bands from onsite stays and are staying offsite next trip, the bands would still work to link tickets too?

Yes. All MagicBands link to your MDE account/fie. The tickets are linked to your account/file... the MagicBands are the link to this complete file.
