Magic Bands for Non-Resort Guests

If travelling from the UK, and NOT staying at a Disney Resort, I understand guests may upgrade for a small fee to Magic Bands.

Can this be done through MDE?

Can the bands be customised through MDE and collected at Guest Services within the parks? (I know resort guests can do this and collect at check-in).

My limited understanding is that bands can be obtained from Guest Services, but my questions are more concerning customised bands and pre-ordering through MDE.

If you are not staying onsite you buy bands at select locations throughout the resort. They are $12.95 plus tax and need to be linked to a pass when purchased.

They can be bought in the same colours as the resort guests can choose from but you can not get your name printed on it.

If you are not onsite you can't order through MDE unless you are a current AP holder with an activated AP linked to your account.

No, only guests staying at a Disney owned hotel can customise MB through MDE.
