magic bands at MCO?

I am staying off site and debating (in my head!) getting a magic band and linking my tickets to it so I don't have to go to guest services/ticketing window to get my hard ticket. I won't have time to go to Downtown Disney prior to my arrival at MK, but was wondering if they are available at any of the shops at MCO? I am not terribly picky about design/color.

You can order them from The Disney Store, and I think some even carry them in stock. I don't know if they are at MCO or not. You can always buy one after entering MK at Emporium.

I leave tomorrow so getting to the Disney store isn't an option. I know I can get one once I get into the park, but was hoping to do so before I enter so I don't have to get my hard ticket from guest services.

Yes, they are.

From the Disney Parks blog:

“Link-It Later” is currently available in select retail locations at Walt Disney World Resort. It was recently expanded to participating off-site locations including Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotels in the Downtown Disney area, Disney liquidation stores in Florida, and the Disney merchandise shops at the Orlando International Airport.

They do carry them at MCO - be sure the CM sets up the MB as "link it later" at the store. Then you will have to go on the app and link your MB to your MDE account in order to use it for park admission and fp+.

Personally I don't use the MB when staying offsite as its only good for admission and fp+, I just use my park ticket instead.
FWIW I would save the $20 and stand in line for a few minutes to get my park pass -

It can also be useful if you have Memory Maker. A couple of the rides have videos that will only appear in your account if you have a band and 7DMT has a photo that is only accessible with the band since there are no monitors to tap your card to at the exit.
