From what I've seen, yes, the bands have a "snap-off" portion that renders them much shorter to fit small wrists.

Yes, it has two sizes. For a kid you remove a part of the band to make it smaller.

Yikes. Would having the cable be detachable from the base thingy be so complicated? They could still sell replacement bases for the same price without making it so user unfriendly. I am side eyeing their products department so hard.

I snapped mine to make it smaller as I have small wrists and can confirm it works well to fit all sizes. Mine so far has been very secure, though know another poster mentioned the opposite. They do sell little fasteners on Amazon for anyone who wants extra reassurance or is worried about it falling off. But even after flinging it around on Webslingers I've never felt it was loose.

I don't mind the charging at all. Maybe because I've yet to fully run down the battery except one time when I didn't turn it off. I actually tend to forget to charge the night before, so usually just plug it in while I'm getting ready to leave for the parks. Once we charged it in the car as well. (Course that only works because I'm about 45 minutes away lol.) I just snap it into the base and cable whenever I get home from the park so they're always together. It doesn't take any more room than the watch itself does.

Yes, there is a kiddie band within it (you just break it off). My 30 year old has to do this because of their small wrist size lol.

I’ve had mine fall off once but I had caught it on something so it pulled out of the snaps. This used to also happen with the 2 older style magicbands.

It gets pretty small. I am petite with very narrow wrists and use a setting that's halfway to the very last option on the shorter band. I don't have it handy right now, but can try and take a pic later.

You know, I really hate that I'm liking the idea of silly flashing lights and different sounds at LL pedestals enough to want to buy these things. And then I found a Cheshire Cat one (my wife's favorite character of all time) on ebay that is just so darn cute...and...oh geez.

(Just make sure the band is a MB+ or else it won’t work at Dland!)

I pulled the trigger on ebay for the Cheshire cat for my wife and a lilac one for my son (favorite color is purple, and I couldn't find a character one that he would really go for, so classic Mickey Head works).

I'm actually thinking of picking up one off shop Disney that is heavily discounted from Halloween for myself. Thinking maybe I can mod it to have a different look...

That is the power of Disney! I cannot tell you how many times I bought something that was a "I don't actually need this but LOOK HOW CUTE IT IS! I MUST HAVE IT!" thing.

However, if Chapek were still the man in charge, I 100% would not be returning. His ouster gives me a "fake because" to use as cover to go back. I'm ok with that. I truly do hope that this trip recaptures some of the magic I felt was lost on the April trip. We will find out soon enough if the direction will change for the better.

Looking forward to your trip report, especially what you think about finally staying on site. We stayed at GCH a little over 10 years ago due to a very reduced conference rate but haven’t done so since. Would love to hear from a semi-regular visitor that doesn’t normally stay on site, specifically DLH since we’ve never tried it.

So I just got back from 5 days at DLR with my sister. I was originally thinking I wouldn't purchase MB+ because it didn't seem like it did that much for me, but I was also kind of intrigued.

Then...my sister drove to my house and we flew down to DLR. We discovered at the airport that she'd forgotten her phone at my house, 2 hours away.

So we bought MBs and honestly, we both loved them. Did we care about the special effects? No, but they were cool. Honestly, though, they were worth the money just to get in and out of the parks and link to photopass! It was so, so easy. I loved not having to dig my phone out of my backpack purse. I thought it was fun and didn't find charging it a big deal at all. In fact, I bought 2, one DL castle band and 1 MK band.

I can see how it would be a pain to buy them for your whole family, but in my case, 1 band isn't that much and just as useful as the 2 drinks I bought at the MK terrace for the same price
