Magic Bands and Staying at Hilton in DD

Okay, so DH has a work trip near Orlando this week. We decided to tack a Disney trip onto the tail end of it as we are AP holders. Unfortunately didn't have the points to stay DVC this trip so DH used his Hilton Hhonors points to get us two nights at the Hilton in DD. We already have Magic Bands from our last trip with our APs linked to them. The question is can we use the Magic Bands this trip even though we aren't staying at a Disney property or would we be using our actual APs for park entry. We are glad that he'll have a rental car as we'll mostly get around with that, and thanks to the AP parking is free.

If you already have a MP that is linked to your AP you can use either one for park entry.

We're doing something similar. We have DVC/AP/MB. I have a conference in Orlando and are staying off property for that. We added 1 extra night so I could get in a little park time, then my DH will go to the parks while I'm sweating away at the conference. We were able to make fast passes without a Disney hotel reservation and it's our understanding that we won't have any trouble getting into the parks using our Magic Band. I don't know when you're trip is, but we'll be there this Saturday-Wednesday, so I can let you know if we have any trouble.

We just went through same situation last week, we experienced no issues using our bands. Don't forget your AP hard card for parking though. HTH-have fun!
