Magic Bands and Magical Express

Do we need our Magic Bands for admission to Magical Express transportation to our resort or just our booklets as usual?

We are leaving on Thursday and my daughter is flying in on Friday night so I am just trying to plan ahead as if she needs her magic band or I can take it in the box with me.

no you do not need them. International visitors do not receive bands before travel dates, we get them at the hotel and we can still use DME.
For DME you just need to book it before and show up at the desk. Just book it at different time for different people.

Yes, you will want to have your Magic Bands with you. If you don't have them/forget them they will still be able to accommodate you, but having things will speed up the process. You will scan your band when you get to ME and then again when you go to board the bus. Give your daughter her band, if possible, while the rest of you take your own. If she doesn't take hers with her make sure she has her ME ticket.

FYI...you can wear your bands through airport security. There is nothing metal in them and they will not set off the scanners. I went through the full-body scanner with mine on and there were no issues.
