I just wanted to give everyone an update on this...since I'm on Day 43. I have resolution, but getting there was not the Disney I'm used to and I end this still quite frustrated.
- I called the merch line 2 weeks ago because my bands still hadn't shown up and the tracking hadn't changed. A reorder request was started for my bands. It took over a week (vs. the few days I was told) for them to be shipped, but new bands were shipped.
- The new bands actually made it to us yesterday, BUT my band was missing. I was concerned because
MDE was only showing three bands, but figured it had something to do with mine being limited edition. Nope...it was a legitimate concern.
- I called the merch line this morning and after about a 15 minute hold, the girl I spoke to couldn't help me. She said that while some people on the merch line are trained to handle magic bands, she wasn't. She gave me a phone number for the
ShopDisney parks merch line, but was going to try and connect me. I waited on hold for another 20 or so minutes in silence when the line started making funny noises.
-I decided to hang up and try calling the number myself. At least in calling the actual number for ShopDisney, I got hold music. I sat on hold for 1 hour and 32 minutes before my call was answered, just to find out my band is out of stock. The girl I spoke to today issued a refund for my band, but it's pretty sad that the system isn't configured to notify the guest that their item is out of stock and automatically issue said refund. I know USPS has had a lot of issues, but this was a Disney issue.
Oh, and my original bands ordered on Dec 8th are still showing Davenport FL USPS is awaiting the package.
