Magic Band Shipment

Today I just customized our magic bands. I was wondering if they send the magic bands out right away or if they get shipped closer to our trip. As well as do they send out tracking information on the box to know when to expect it.

also do they typically use a certain carrier

If you customize them greater than 30 days prior to check-in, they will not start processing them until 30 days out.
If you customize them less than 30 days prior to check-in, they will start processing them the next day.

Shipping is typically via USPS and starts out with a 3rd party (One Stop Mailing).

They get sent out just under 30 days from your trip. It is just USPS and you do get a tracking code.

I also have a question about Magic Band shipment. I am checking in on June 27 and MDE states that my bands have shipped and should be delivered between 6/7-6/9. When I check the tracking number it shows that it was picked up by the shipping partner on 6/2 in Florida, but it hasn't been moved since then. Is that normal?

Our Magic bands were recently delivered. They sat for 3 days at the "shipping partner facility" before moving. The group we're traveling with (they live in the same town) hadn't their package ship a day later and arrive a day earlier. Our's were sent out just under the 30 day mark.

That's normal. The tracking is really wonky. Mine sat like that for days and then just suddenly showed up.

Thank you. I checked it a little while ago and now they are in Illinois, so I guess that is progress. I am just so excited to get them!

Our trip is July 1. Received email from Disney May 31 stating MB's being shipped and received a tracking number. MB's arrived June 5.

I feel like sometimes my bands take forever, and sometimes they show up much sooner. In March my bands entered customization and took 4 whole days after that to ship. My July bands shipped the very next day. I think 7-10 days is a fair estimate for the delivery time frame. You probably won't see movement on them for 3/4 days. They may also get to you in roundabout way (back and forth between states). Don't be alarmed!

Yes very your MB will tour the US before you get it. you should have it 15-18 days before your trip

If I haven't received them tomorrow, I will be calling and asking for a new set I guess? We want to be able to use them with Magical express!

Your MB's have only been in route for 6 days. Label was created last Sunday and they shipped out on Monday. Still too early to call imo. You should receive them middle or end of this week.

MBs are shipped with the cheapest route possible to save on money, so it's normal for a band to be in route for about 7-10 days. Very likely that the bands are almost to you even though tracking hasn't updated. That's just because a worker didn't scan the package in at the location and just shipped it out.

I wouldn't worry about them. They'll be there soon

We had a set that never arrived for our July 6th trip. We called when we saw there was no progress when we checked the tracking and they sent us out a new set. I would call them right away and tell them. Worst case scenario....you get 2 sets.

I think you're right! I was going to give them all of tomorrow since it was the weekend before calling Monday night if they haven't shown up. I have the worst luck and it seems like my packages get lost all the time, so it doesn't surprise me lol.
