Magic Band question

I am going in April, I have two rooms at Port Orleans FQ. I originally booked 5 days but added on 2 days, my travel agent had to do it as a separate, new reservation. The configuration is this:

Room 1, me, my dd, ds, and daughter's friend.
Room 2, my husband and his 2 sons.

Fourth day of the trip the two sons in room 2 are leaving and I am moving into that room for the duration of the trip.

MDE has us getting four sets of magic bands. Do we really need both sets? It gets very confusing with the split stay and the room switching.

You can decline any unnecessary bands. So for room 1, decline the entire second set. Room 2, decline all except 1 of the second set, so you will have a way to unlock the door. Have fun!

You don’t need both sets since your magic band(s) are/is essentially a key to your account (with all you reservations and park tickets etc not one time use) but two sets are fun if you want to mix and match colors

When you start your second stay, make sure your bands are sync, you can do that stopping at the front desk, but do get them like the poster above suggested.

You can decline the second set. Have hubby ask for a plastic room key that you can use to open the door to room 2. Or do as suggested above with the bands for room 2.

You don't need more than one magic band per person although you're paying for them in the cost of the room so my thoughts are why not take what you can get?
Get different colors.
They will have your names on the back of them so that shouldn't be confusing.
Also you can use the ones assigned to you interchangeably.

Well, they'll have what the OP puts on them (inside of 9 characters). Not necessarily their names.

OP if you don't want all of them, just order so you get one band per person and you'll be fine.

If you do get both sets you can customize your magic bands by interchanging the pucks and the bands. Just choose different colors!
