Magic Band Question

I have a vacation package. Do I need to do anything to link my ticket to my Magic Band or is it already linked with I get the band?

Tickets are linked to your MDE account.
MagicBands are linked to your MDE account.

The MagicBands simply ACCESS that info from your account, when needed.

It should already be linked, at least if you already had your MDE account set up when you made your purchase. If you sign into MDE and can see your tickets then you are all set.

To further add to the OP's question, my family will be doing a split stay and checking in to the Coronado on Sunday 10/25. Our plans are to spend the morning/early afternoon at DHS with a lunch reservation at Sci-Fi. Can we head directly to the park from our off-site hotel or will we have to stop at the hotel to check-in in order to have access to the credits for the free dining plan?

It depends. If you fully complete on line check-in (put a credit card on file, set up a pin, etc) and you have your magic bands shipped to you ahead of time then most likely you will be given the "skip the front desk" option and your tickets and dining credits will be active on arrival day.

Thanks wdwrich! I have already completed the on line check-in with a credit card on file so we're hoping that this works.
