Magic Band Question

Hi, Everyone --

I have a reservation for a package, but I love the Mickey Mouse magic band they have on DisneyStore.com. How would I go about having everything loaded onto that band rather than the one that WDW will be sending me?

Just link the new band to your MDE account using the ID number listed inside the band, then both bands will function the same.

Log in to your MDE account and go to the magic band & cards page:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/bands-cards/

Then click the "Link" button

Everything can be linked at any of the stores that sell the MBs as well.

Just to clarify, you are not loading anything on to the Magic Band, the Magic Band is just a way to link you to your account, there is no information other the the band ID on the band. If you lose the band or no longer wish to use it you can de-activate it.

If you lose the band or no longer wish to use it you can de-activate it.

And, if you do "shut down" a Magic Band...
Everything ELSE in your account (tickets, FP+, reservations, charging privileges... everything connected to your trip...)
will still stay available and ready for use in that account.

You can get another MB or just use a regular flat plastic ticket to access the account.

If I were to get a magic band that is different from the solid color ones they send(DH really wants the new Grumpy one), does it matter when I link it? Probably not, I assume....but I ask just because I know normally the basic ones aren't sent out until around a month or less before the trip....So if I have a trip booked later 2016, could I link it right away? Is there any benefit to linking right away vs linking it later?

3. That timing is just a "convenience factor" for guests and the resorts.
