Magic Band question/Disney hotel - different days, please advise.

Not to make this complicated, BUT....we are staying at AKV Kidandi from from Friday to Saturday, checking out and going to my Mom's timshare in Orlando and then doing a one day park hopper on Monday only.

How will that work with my Magic bands. I am ordering them today so I will physically have them. I plan to do our Fast Passes on-line and then when I get to the hotel, do they just "link" them to our reservation for our room? I just want to BE SURE they don't mess up my Fast passes for Monday.

It will have no impact on your FP's. There is no reason NOT to do your FP's now, you do not need to wait for your Magic Bands. You should go the Disney world site and make FP's now. If you have not created a profile on the site you can do it now, and it will give you the ability to create FP's. FP's are limited and a number of the more popular rides may not be available. You can always change your FP's if your plans change.

When staying on property you can do FP's 60 days ahead of arrival. When not staying on property you can do FP's 30 days out

Your bands are linked to your account. The bands will be able to read anything that you have linked to your account also, including your FP reservations. You do not need to have the bands in hand before making FP reservations.

Nothing is "on" the bands other than a link to your My Disney Experience account. Your tickets, fastpasses, hotel rooms are all in the My Disney Experience account. Your Disney room reservation should be showing in your MDE experience account, if not you can link it yourself.
