When we first booked our accommodations I linked our reservation and input 10 members of our travel party into my MDE account. This included everyone's birthdate, of course.
When we got to our 180 days to make dining reservations, I was able to book CRT. After checking out I saw that they had based our cost on my children's CURRENT ages, as opposed to the ages they'd be at the time of travel. I had one daughter going from age 2 to 3 (K) and one going from age 9 to 10 (T). As I wanted to make certain the younger one had a meal and the older one had an adult meal I called reservations and after a LOOONG time and three very helpful CMS I was directed to create two additional profiles (one for each of these daughters) and just put in other birthdates to get the right ones linked.
So - now my profile shows the original 10 people, each with a character face, and then another profile for daughter T with a blue generic Mickey head and daughter K with a blue generic Mickey head.
As yet I have not linked our tickets, but was planning to do that soon.
I'm not sure what to do.
Daughter K will turn three before our FP selection date. I suppose I can wait until after her birthday and link her 3-9 ticket to her original profile. But I did want to practice making FP a bit.
Daughter T will not turn 10 until after our FP selection date. So I clearly need to input hers prior to her birthday.
Do I need to use the new "dummy" profiles? How will I make sure to assign magic bands to the right profile?
I can't be the only person who's had kids go up in age between FP selection and the trip...
I know I may not be wording all of this correctly, but I'm hoping some astute DISer can help me sort this out before I go linking things to the wrong places.
THANK YOU!
