Magic band problem?

we have reservations to stay at Pop. Have ordered magic bands and skins. Now we may be staying off site, will our Magic Bands be invalid? Or will we just lose our fast passes?

If staying off site when can you make FP+ reservations? I have never stayed off site. Not sure FP will be nessesary since it is level 1 crowd.

If you cancel your reservation, they will not mail out the magic bands. If you stay onsite, you can make FP+ reservations at 60 days. If you stay offsite you can make FP+ reservations at 30 days.

If you do not have a package which is required to be paid in full 45 days out, I would keep my POP reservation, make my FP+ picks 60 days out, let them send you the magic bands 30 days out and then cancel the hotel a few days later. Your FP+ reservations should stay in place and you will have working magic bands you can use for park entry and FP+ (you just can't use them to pay for items).

Yes, they are linked to your MDE account, not your room reservation. You can use them until the battery dies.
