Magic Band not shipping

My check in date is 12/19. Magic band is still saying that it is shipping soon. Today is day 20 according to MDE. I've been reading in several places on the boards that they should be shipping by day 20. Is it because it is a Saturday today? The issues that some people have had (split stays, different last names of party members) do not apply to my booking. Can't figure out why they wouldn't ship. Any ideas? Thanks!
 
I thought it was just us. We are 13 days our and MDE says "Magic Bands shipping soon!" We will be contacting someone on Monday to figure out what the deal is.
 

Our check in is on the 23rd and we got ours on Wednesday.
 
Our check-in is also on the 23rd and got ours today. Was able to track package shipping and was impressed it arrived here so quickly.

Do all the magic bands ship out of the same facility? or are there multiple locations across the country?
 
Even if you don't it prior to trip which you should, they will be at the front desk when you check in.
 
Our Magic Bands are taking the long route to arrive. I have never seen USPS have mail arrive at the sorting facility that is 45 minutes away from your house in Southern California and then ship it to Washington. :confused3
 
We got an email yesterday saying they have shipped with an estimated arrival of December 6th (DME says 3rd to 4th). We are checking in on the 27th. I wonder why some get stuck in limbo and others ship promptly??? Did you call and ask?
 
I called the MagicBand help this morning. They told me that there was a "hold" on the shipping because there was concern that a name was misspelled. We have normal names spelled traditionally, so I don't know why they thought one was misspelled. Additionally I'm not sure how we would have known that there was a hold, as there was no indicator on MDE nor did we ever get an email asking us to do something. The CM was quite nice, lifted the hold, and confirmed that we would get the bands in 7 business days.
 
Got the email saying ours shipped today and will arrive my the 8th...we arrive on the 27th. I'm glad, because we leave for Florida a week before going to Disney and reading all the posts about them coming very close to the trip date was concerning me!

On our last trip, a couple of weeks ago, they never shipped. We had to pick them up at check in.
 
We have 2 reservations (family member is arriving 1 day after us and has their own room). The MB for family member shipped ~ day 27. Ours still hadn't shipped by day 19 so I called and was told there was a "hold" on the order and the CM needed to contact someone for technical assistance to lift the hold. I thought there was still plenty of time to get the MBs but they were shipped 2-day.
 
I called earlier this week to check as they had not shipped. The CM said there seemed to be something wrong so she suggested changing the address to the resort, which I had no problem with. She added to call back if MDE didn't indicate shipped by the 30th. (We are 14 days out) I just called and the CM, Jason (very nice guy) indicated they have done everything they can do, everything has been processed on Disney's end correctly. (Side note: My DD who is going one day before us forgot to order their bands for the one day and did so after I recanting my story reminder her to order theirs. They received them 2-3 days later.) I asked if they could make a manual request for the MB because I am taking 8 people who have never been before and I kink of think the personalization might be a nice thing for them. He put me on hold to double check and no they cannot make a manual request and there is nothing else they can do. We will (hopefully) get generic MB that will work seamlessly but I am so worried that this trip will be a cluster too. Our trip in March was wrong on so many levels that I am trying to block it out of my mind. I know this is really not a big deal but fear it is an omen. We are arriving on the 16th and have had them for a week, my daughter is arriving on the 18th and got hers on Friday.

Thanks for posting Princessbird! I called this number yesterday morning and spoke to a fabulous CM who saw immediately what the issue was, corrected it and this morning MDE indicates our MB's have shipped!
