Magic band, multiple ticket question.

i called DVC and spoke to a CM. but the board does know more. So for the trip, DD will use AP, DS will use 3 day ticket and DH and I will use part of a 10 non expiring hopper ticket. The tickets we will use for this trip does not have water park tickets.

We got our magic bands and they are linked. I deactivated all our other tickets; we each have 3 other tickets they have mostly water park and fun entitlements left. So how do I enter the water park with one of the other tickets, they are linked to mydisneyexperience to the correct peeps.

CM said just scan your band. But I have all the water park ticket passes all deactivated.

You can't deactivate tickets. You can deactivate the card they were issued on, but that has ZERO effect on the actual tickets.

If you have old no-expire MYW tickets that only have Water Park Fun & More options remaining, you will not see the actual ticket under 'My Reservations & Tickets' because there are no theme park days remaining. Those WPF&M entitlements are still linked to your profile and you can use any Active MagicBand or RFID Card to redeem those WPF&M options.

There's a difference between a "ticket" and "ticket media" (i.e. a the card that a ticket comes on). Once you link a ticket to your account, the card is now just a link back to your account. The card is now the same as a magic band; it references your profile which accesses all of your tickets.

Here's what you need to do: stop at a ticket booth or guest relations and have them "prioritize" the tickets in your profile. Then, when you enter a park, ask the CM with the ipad to verify which ticket was used. This is really the only way to manage multiple tickets attached to a single profile after they've been partially used.

But, the CM is correct; just scan your band to enter the waterpark. The system will find a ticket with a valid entitlement.
