Magic band/ Fastpass question

Hey all! We have a trip planned for mid- September, 4 ladies. 1 lady isn't sure she wants to ride the rollercoasters, it will be a last minute decision. (I told her, I'll hold her hand the whole time if she rides). Our fp booking day is Monday, and I will be booking 4 fps for each ride.
So question.. since I would hate to waste a fp, in case she decides not to ride, and I love to spread pixie dust.. could I ask someone in line to ride with us and use her fp? If so, can she swipe her magic band and then back out, or do I need to take her magic band with me all the way through the ride?

Anyone could use the fastpass if you have the band. But some rides do still use the second checkpoint where you would need to tap in, so for those rides, you wouldn't be able to just have her tap in at the entrance. I know every time I've gone on SDD, Tower of Terror, and FoP the second checkpoint has been in use. I can't remember for others though.

Just make her go! Or take turns within your group taking a 2nd ride on attractions she will not ride.

It's a nice idea. Executing it may be a little clunky. You would have to advertise the free FP before entering the FP queue, find the rare solo rider and let the stranger use her MB.

These are the roller coaster rides I can recall that have a secondary magic band checkpoint:

Everest @ AK
Thunder Mountain @ MK
Rock n Roll @ HS

Maybe, Splash Mountain at MK.

I would have her use her own FP so she can remain with you through the lines and pre show and then if she decides not to ride she can use the "chicken exit" and meet you at the exit. This way you group can stay together even if she doesn't ride.

You can always go on the app and “modify” the fast pass and potentially get her into a tamer ride or show at the last minute so that she gets to do something that she enjoys as well without waiting on long lines. Or she could do carousel of progress or people mover while others are on space mountain.

I would put her on splash mountain before space mountain. For people who aren’t thrilled with the big drops etc, at least you get a good long RIDE before one drop. I like roller coasters and sometimes bail out of space mountain. It physically hurts me (back) and I find it hard to enjoy it most times. I don’t hav back problems —- I just find it to be very rough and jerky. I like Everest, Big Thunder, mine train splash etc.

Mine train is nice and smooth so that may be a nice option as well.
