Magic Band Clips

We last went to Disney World in October 2014. My son never had an issue keeping his magic band on. I have read that the bands have changed and are coming off easily. Do you think a seven year old needs a clip to keep his magic band on? We are headed there in March and am trying to get all my bases covered!

We have never had any issues with the bands falling off of our kids and they wear them 24/7 while we are there. I don't know anything about "new bands" as our last trip was April 2015 but we used our AP bands that were from the year before. We are going to be using old bands for our next trip as well.

Instead of clips, if you have a problem you can just use a hair tie or rubber band, too. No need to buy something fancy (heck, even duct tape works in a pinch).

But we've done 3 trips THIS YEAR and my 7 year old has never had a problem with his band falling off. I have heard, though, that if you take the gray part off to make the band smaller (for small children) it seems to fall off more, so I'd make sure to leave it the larger size (if you're getting the "standard" ones from staying on property).
