My daughter just turned 18 this week and we are taking her to Disney in June. We are staying in a room together, we have the dining plan, and up until now I’ve been the one managing her MDE account. But this is the first time she’s had a job and her own money to spend beyond the room and food. I’m wondering if it’s possible to set her magic band to bill separately from ours so she pays with her own debit card. Do I need to have her take over her MDE account to do that? And if I do, will it mess up the ADRs we already have booked?

To add to that, no she doesn't need her own separate MDE account. Like the PP said, stop at the front desk when you check in. Your party will be able to set up separate cards with separate pin numbers there. The desk will then be able to pull a list of charges by person, depending on whose pin was entered at the point of purchase. Have a great trip!

This should work. But be warned: December 2018 I was at AKL with my sister. She was the lead on the reservation. At the front desk at check-in I linked my MB to my own credit card and used my MB a lot to pay for things. I didn't pay attention to the charges until after I got home and discovered that my cc account was charged only on the very first day of the trip. After that, all my MB purchases were charged to my sister's account. I've got no idea what happened but since then I've just used my cc.
