Magic Band Charging

Quick question...Can charging privledges be limited on say a childs magic band? I would like the kids to have $100 or so limit if possible but not restrict the adult bands to that low amount.

I believe you can have certain bands be charging or not charging but you can't set limits on how much each one charges. Might be better to provide them with a gift card and say when this is gone, it's gone.

FYI, you're not actually charging to the magic band itself - you're using your magic band (which has an RFID chip in it) to charge to your WDW resort room. That's where the charges are going to. If you're not staying at a WDW resort, you can't make charges using a magic band, because there's no room to charge back to.

But am not sure of the answer to your question, which is basically, "can you set up your kids to have charging privileges on your room?". I bet someone else will come along and have the answer to that question.

Yup, learned this the hard way (though I'm sure the info is easily out there, so it's really on me for not checking). I assumed that it was going directly to my card, and when I checked my bank account about half way through I thought I was under budget. Realized that wasn't the case at check out. Whoops!

Thank you, we've used the charging capability our last couple of visits but it's just been my mom and I and didn't need to worry about setting any kind of limit. I know you hit a limit and then the resort cashes you out and charges your card. Thanks all!
