Sooo in 19 days we will be at the Poly!!!!!! We will have my mom with us. She will be paying for her own food, souvenirs etc. I have my credit card linked to all 3 Magic Bands currently, as I had no other choice. When we get to the resort will the staff be able to unlink our card from her band and put her own credit card on it?
Also, I would prefer to charge everything back to my room then pay for it at the end of my stay so I can get an itemized list of all purchases, is that possible? I thought that is how it used to work.

Yes, she can add her credit card on arrival. The system is kinda glitchy though, so what I always do is run to the gift shop and buy something small (bottle of water, whatever) charge it, then go back to the concierge and make sure it's going to my card. I didn't do this one trip and spent my morning at checkout with a highlighter picking out my charges. (They do show up as individual items and show which band made the charge)

So the purchases charge to the band but we do not pay for them until we checkout??

Sort of.

Each resort has a limit for charges before they put it through to your CC. For Value Resorts the limit has been $500 ($1000 for Moderates, $1500 for Deluxes). If you meet that spending limit before checkout, they will run the charge through. If you haven't, they will charge your card at some point during the night before you check out.

And you should also be aware that there have been reports that some resorts are actually putting the charges through long before the limit has been met.

Yes, credit card is attached to the room and Magicband. Purchases with Magicband end up on the room account. We experienced no glitches. On the morning of checkout day last month (Coronado), I received an email with itemized charges (all correct). We discovered that Disney had actually charged my credit card for $500+ a few days earlier, then $300+ on checkout day for the balance. We continued using the MB at the park that day after checking out, those charges showed up on the credit card a few days later.

In both my experiences using room charge (AoA in April 2013 without MagicBand & POR in Oct 2014 with MagicBand) once I hit my spending limit, I could not make any more charges to my room until I visited or called the front desk and asked them to put a charge through to my credit card (thus clearing the balance on my room charge). It seems plenty of people have had the resort automatically put a charge through on their credit card when it hits the limit, but this has not been my experience for whatever reason. I learned the hard way trying to buy lunch at DHS one day and they refused to put a charge through on my MagicBand because my room charge was over the limit.

From now on, I will check my balance every couple days and ask to put the charge through to my credit card, just to be on the safe side.
