Magic Band / Card Question

Hi there - have enjoyed reading this forum for awhile so about time I signed up. First post wooo

I’m based in the UK. I have bought theme park tickets (hard ticket cards that I have in my hands) and have linked them to magic bands that will be collected at the hotel. We will be checking in to our Disney hotel and collecting those magic bands at 3pm. However, on the same day, we want to go to a Disney Park for 9am.

Can I use the hard tickets (cards) to get into the theme park? Or by linking them do I now HAVE to use the magic bands? Sorry, a pretty niche question I know!

You should be able to use your cards to enter. You’ll not able to change anything to the cards.

Are you waiting to go to the resort until 3:00 because that’s what is most convenient for you? Or because that is the checkin time?

Because you can go to the resort to get the MagicBands and “checkin” as early as 6:00 am. The room may not be ready early, but you can still do that.

You can use the cards if that works out better for you, though.

This is what I was going to say as well. I’d check in early at the resort before you head to the park. We get in at 7am but will still check in early. Also welcome to the Dis!

Yes, might add a bit of morning faff but I shall try and pick up the magic bands in the morning

You didn't link the cards to the magic bands.
You linked them to MDE and your magic bands are linked to MDE.
You can use the card or the magic band.
You also should be able to walk up to the front desk as soon as you arrive you don't have to wait until
3pm.
