We will have Magic Bands for the first time when we go this July. We are staying on site so we have those coming. I thought about getting some sort of accessories for the kids. I've heard that some things fall off easily. What would you all recommend?

I had the Tinkerbell Magic Bandits and they stayed on my band the whole time just fine.

You can purchase Magic Bandits which go right on your band and you can also buy Magic Sliders which slide on the magic band and they wont be able to fall off.

In my opinion the bandits ( the ones that goes into the holes) fall out I lost 2 out of 4 of mine

Sliders I fell work better no way for them to fall out

We had the bandits which were fine for the whole week until the kids went into the Dumbo play area the last day and most of them were gone in 15 mins. Beware ropes. :P

We bought bandits last summer and had no issues. I noticed that the MBs now are thinner and more flexible, and we lost many bandits in no time with the new bands. I won't buy anymore, just sliders.

Both my son and I lasted about 5 minutes before we were annoyed with the sliders. We are happy with our just plain magic bands. :)

If you really want something fancier than plain colors, you can purchase skins to decorate them with (just google and you'll find places that sell them) OR you can decorate them yourself with nail polish (again, google and you'll find lots of ideas).

I lost my Oogie Boogie bandit the first day walking down Main Street. I picked up my son and I assume it caught on his clothes and popped off. :(

I agree with PP the sliders work much better however, they can get bulky. I have found that we really like the character/special/limited edition bands better.

If you buy bandits, keep your receipt. They will replace them at no cost! I guess the policy can vary, one person traveling with us lost one and the store she went to brought her a selection that she could choose one. One of my children lost one and they gave her a new package of what we had purchased even though she only lost one.

Thank you for this information! :goodvibes When we went last year I was concerned as it was the first time we used the bandits, we had previously used the sliders and loved them. I had no problems with my bandits with the old bands, but my husband lost one on the speedway, I think getting in he probably hit it and it popped off.

I had not heard anything about the new bands and the bandits, so thanks for mentioning that they are not staying in the new bands very well. I had thought about buying some new ones for our upcoming trip, but we will be getting the newer bands at that time so I think I'll pass for now on the bandits. I'll try some of our bandits in the new bands when I get them to see before I buy anymore.

We purchased a bunch via the Disney Store prior to our trip (they were stocking stuffers at Christmas). By the end of the trip, I had taken them off mine, as I had lost 2. My son took his off as well, as he did not like them. My daughter and wife tried keeping them on, but both ended up losing several during the trip. In hind site, it was not worth the $30 I spent. I would have rather gone with a skin or some of what I have seen done on pintrest.
