Magic at AK

I just thought I'd share a couple of the 'magical' things that happened to my children at the AK on our last visit. While we were eating lunch in the Pizzafari, a CM came up to our table and asked my children, ages 12 and 10, if they'd like to come with her and see some of the 'hidden' items in the paintings in the building. They quickly agreed and got treated to seeing hidden Mickeys and anomalous paintings---tails with no animal bodies attached, and many other things they were happy to show my husband and I after we finished eating. They were so thrilled and I was thrilled for them.

In the dinosaur section of the park my daughter, 10, asked this person in a big cheesy dinosaur costume if she could take his picture. She backed up to photograph him, and he advanced on her. She backed up again; again he advanced. And then--------his large open mouth completely enveloped her head. He thrashed around a bit and then came away with her santa hat which she'd been wearing. She was laughing so hard. I was delighted that my brother had captured this on film. That was an unexpected fun moment----but the best is still to come. Later on that day we were watching the parade and during it a young man on stilts came up and spoke to my daughter. At the conclusion of the parade we asked what he had said. She replied that he said that his dinosaur friend had told him how tasty she was. Now that just made our day.

Those are adorable memories. I have a 5 mo. old daughter and we can't wait to take a family trip. However, we're going to wait until she's old enough to appreciate -- and remember -- everything. We've affectionately named WDW Strollerland b/c of all the young children and have vowed to take Bella when she can do everything with us! I hope she has as much fun as your children did. They'll remember those times forever!

That is so cool! Do you think the stilt walker was also the guy in the dino suit? Had to be! Some of the best things that happen at WDW just can't be planned.

Looking forward to the magic in 13 days!
