Ahhh, take me with you! Your dates in March cover my birthday (the 12th!!) and you are staying at one of my all-time favorite resorts! Super jealous! What an amazing surprise.

Awww! I know you mentioned you wanted to take your spring trip over your b-day! We'll send you lots and lots birthday wishes!

WOW! Two amazing surprises!!! I already can't wait for your TRs. I've read one other report where they booked the Grand 1 and did desserts on the boat - it was spectacular! I'm so excited for you!!!!

And the Poly. Do you think your DD will figure out the Poly part too when you get to the airport? Perhaps you could somehow get her to think you are staying somewhere else until you get to ME? I just love the idea of a Mom & Daughter trip too, you are going to have some wonderful memories made with her!

I'm not sure she'll figure out the poly part! I know she'll ask where we're staying but I'm not going to tell her! She'll find out when we get there! She talks about Poly and says how beautiful it is, how lucky daddy and I where to stay there, and how she really wants to stay there but then from time to time she'll mention other resorts. Boardwalk is the next one, then POR. She thinks it's silly that we've stayed at the same resort more then once! She loves Kidani but wants to know why we have to stay there again in Dec! We're going to have a fabulous time!

Oh my goodness Brook! Your going to get me in so much trouble! I read the Grand One part of the TR this afternoon. Then I went and found the PTR to see how she pulled all that off! I think she's my idol!

Of course, it got the wheels in my head turn! Hopefully what I come up with will be half as good as jaycns!!

I'm back! With a new TR update to boot! Aren't you excited?!

I had hoped to have an update on the surprise but progress in that department has been a little slow! Thanks to Brook (and I mean that in the best possible way) the wheels in my head started turning and I'm being lead down the path that I originally wanted to go! Thanks to the link Brook gave me to another TR I found out that something like what I really wanted to do is possible! It was just a matter of finding out how. Finding out how was no easy task but I think I found the way! So hopefully I'll be back in the next few days with a surprise update

Anyway, onto the TR!!!


So I left off with the trip at the end of our relaxation day!

The next day was DHS day! My theory on DHS is that it isn’t worth it, to me, to be there for rope drop and run with the herd to TSM. Really, I’m not that kind of person and just the thought of taking the kids through that scares me to death!

That being said, I am willing to arrive a few minutes after RD and head toward TSM. We have pretty good success that way!

So, that’s what we did! After an uneventful morning in the room, getting ready and eating breakfast we were soon on bus headed toward DHS!

We got to the park a few minutes after 9 and headed to TSM! The posted standby was something like 20 minutes! The FP line was HUGE, so we decided to jump on the SB line!

Just in time to see this guy do his thing!




IDK, I guess it’s the little things in life or maybe I’m easily amused or maybe it was even that it was something new to me. I’m completely, absolutely in love with the dancing lamp!

I haven’t seen him before! I have wondered why there was a door up there. Now I know!

It was so cute! I think I need a dancing lamp at home!

We enjoyed our time hanging out in the queue! I love the TSM queue! There’s so much to look at!

We also enjoyed a guy who was on line a little in front of us! He was talking on his cell phone. It was apparently a business call and he was apparently a computer guy. He was talking about (not to) someone who apparently needed his help! He said something to the effect of “that guy couldn’t figure how to turn it on until I told him how and then he goes and tries to fix things on his own! Tell him to unplug it and not touch it until I call him back!” LOL!!! I found this highly amusing!

Anyway, We soon found ourselves boarding our spinny ride car! We had, as we had 10,000 times on the trip, already discussed our seating arrangements on the ride so we all went off with our ride partner!

Ryan and I rode together!




We stopped mid ride and I took a picture of Jen and John enjoy themselves!



When all was said and done Ryan really enjoyed the ride and actually scored a few points although he had no idea what he was doing!




After TSM there was a very important ride we had to venture over to! Julianna was dying to ride Rockin Rollercoaster! After not being able to ride EE this was top priority!

We decided to all head that way to see what the wait was! It was something like 30 minutes. So we decided SB was a good option!

DD and DS7 both decided they wanted to ride! Oh my! They’ve never been on a rollercoaster that goes upside down or one in the dark. I was a bit hesitant to let them. But, I let my mommy paranoia go. DH wasn’t going on because of his motion sickness issues, I wasn’t feeling it and Jen doesn’t do rollercoasters. So I sent them with Uncle John and their cousins!

DH and I decided that while the others were on RNRC we would take Ryan over to see Playhouse Disney live on stage!

He loved that we took him alone and he loved the show! He kept gasping a saying "Mommy, I see ------" Fill in the blank with every single character in the shows name!







After the show we ventured back toward RNRC! I was very anxious to see how my first time real coaster riders did!

RNR definitely was some high-intensity initiation! They've done the barnstormer, BTMRR and Splash but never a real coaster!

I'm wondering about my tickers too Honestly,the reason I haven't deleted them and started over is that I don't want mickey to go all the way back to the beginning!!! That would be slightly depressing!

Ok, whew!

1. Kidani. I'm sure someone answered but you can use the pool for the full day on the day of checkout.

2. Princess at the Poly for double digits.

3. Vow renewal. Sigh. That's just SOOOO cool! Made me misty! I think the Grand is a Grand idea! I would also think about a private photopass session. For $100 you get a 20 minute session, 4 locations, all your images on a CD and a print package (there are 3 to choose from). I was THRILLED with our session result. I can't wait to hear what else you have up your sleeve for it! You are making me want to go check out that TR though.

4. itunes hacking. I did see that on FB and went straight in and changed all my passwords, scared me to death!

5. Debit card fiasco/freezing. It's interesting. Last year we had room charges and they held ALL of them until the day of checkout so it was one huge charge. Kind of surprised in retrospect that the bank didn't call on that one. We didn't care for it being handled that way and this year didn't have charging privileges at all, at any of the 2 resorts. It made life a lot easier actually as there was actually no need to even check out! Caused a 10 minute delay on something once but it was not a big deal. I am sure we will do it this way from now on in situations like this where the rest of the trip was already paid for. It just made it easier. We just pay by debit as we go and it works out fine but also carry a CC for backup just in case.

6. Car. For the most part I am a fan of no car. But there were a couple of times where, on this trip, I would have been happy to have one. Resort to resort or park to DTD come to mind....I personally have no issues with you parking for dinner, doing a little connecting park time and then heading back that way. I'd do it in a heartbeat!

7. Teva mush. Rock. I didn't bring mine and kind of wish I would have. I was fine without but would have swapped them into the line up I think.

8. Black sandals you don't have yet. I had amazing luck with privo and noat sandals this trip, they are almost pretty and feminine yet still a comfort shoe.

We have fabulous PHD memories! Our first trip in 05 DS7, who was 2 and half at the time, loved it! Until Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House started to sing the goodbye song! He knew that meant the show was over and cried! Poor kid!

I'm looking forward to hearing about how the kids did on RnRC! That ride is pretty intense, but so much fun. I hope they loved it!

They definitely learned a thing or 2 about real rollercoasters!
