Magic as Wide as a smile!10/28 Trip Report Link!!!!

EE being down is a complete bummer. That is one of my favs and missing it is just plain wrong.

I am glad u got to see both shows. I havent seen FOTLK in a couple yrs and I miss it!

Too bad EE was down after all that trouble getting there. ;)

I adore Nemo. I think it's a great show.

The thing I love about FOTLK is that the performers I see during the Disney christmas parade on tv are usually in the show. I just find that neat.

Sorry you missed EE. I hate when I see guests being rude to CMs for things that are out of their control. Some people think they are entitled, because it's their vacation. Ugh!

Nemo always puts me to sleep too. I have no idea why. I always get in there, and the a/c and the dim lighting just make me feel nice and cozy. When I went with my nieces, I one of them curled up next to me and we were both nodding off. :rotfl:

I'm here again - and caught up! :yay:

First - YAY on adding a trip!!!!!!!! I'm glad you were able to clear the air with your DH and now have a "just the two of you" trip planned. :lovestruc Sometimes we let women have a tendency to let things build until we explode - it's good to just voice it and get it done with, isn't it?!

The bubbles! :rotfl: Oh, just the mental picture of all that - hilarious!! That is sooooo something I would do as well.

And this picture is PRICELESS:

:lmao:

Your plans are coming along great - they kinda sound like mine so far for September - back and forth, change this, change that. Thankfully the online system, for once, has worked very well for me. Previously it would just error out on me all the time! So frustrating. But this trip it's worked slick so far. All your plans make me want to book more ADRs - like Tusker House and HDDR, both of which I have wanted to do pretty much every single trip, but have yet to try! They sound just awesome!

Looking forward to more!!!

Good thing for Nemo swimming, darting through all those bubbles, isn't it? It saves many a tired, cranky, child (or even grown-up.;) )

I love FOTLK---looks like you had great seats.

Bummer on not getting to ride EE. We had FPs during our March trip, and then it fell a flood, and they quit running it, so we didn't get to ride during that trip.

Oh my gosh, I'm exhausted reading all that!

:lmao: I'm trying to resist the urge to forget the whole thing and take a nap ;)

Love this picture! :goodvibes

Nemo and FOTLK are wonderful shows, they're fabulous!

Ice cream ?! :faint:

Nice safari pictures! Especially the marching elephants. Ahhh boo to EE being down. :sad2:

Thanks!

I love both of those shows and seeing both in one day can be a little challenging!

I admit ice cream was an odd choice given the weather but it was yummy not matter what!

I love that elephant pic too! I was so sad we missed EE!

I was so ready for EE! Boo!!!!

You definitely need to see FOTLK again! I love it!

:lmao: I know!!!! Booo!!!!

I neve noticed that before! I have to keep an eye out during the parade on TV!

I hate when people are rude to the CM's too! I once saw a guy totally berating a girl checking in people at Crystal Palace! It was awful!

I think it being dark and cool in the theater may have that effect! Ryan falling asleep at least lets me enjoy the show more!

I'm here again - and caught up! :yay:

I'm so glad you're back!!!

I'm so excited for our trip in Oct! It's going to be so lovely! I definitely have a tendency to hold my feelings in until I get soooo mad!!!

I really wish I had thought to take a picture of the bubbles!!!! :rotfl2: I can't believe I did that!

My little Asia slip up was interesting! :rotfl2: in hindsight I laugh!

You definitely need to try both Tusker House and HDDR!! Tusker House is yummy and so much fun and I think Henry would love HDDR!

I love Nemo swimming around the theater! I definitely think it's help a lot of people!

I was so sad not being able to ride EE! I was totally ready!

I left off with us headed back to Kidani from AK after missing EE! Boo!

This afternoon and evening was going t be restful and relaxing! Ahhhh!

We had a little bit of time before it was time to walk over to Janbo house for our reservation at Boma so we kind of just hung out! Everyone lounged around, loads of laundry were done, movies were watched, DS’s were played, friends were texted, emails were checked, a dis update may have been done too ;)

I also spent a lot of time out on the balcony looking at my fabulous view!!!! I must admit though I was a little disappointed! There really weren’t a lot of animals around! I’m not sure if some were being kept in due to the temperature outside but there were very few animals on the savannah! I really, really want to see the zebras! Not sure why but I did! I could see a few realllllllly far off in the distance but none ever came close enough to actually get a good picture of!

I did get a few pictures of some friends...

These guys did, however, seem to want a private photo shoot with me!

After our nice relaxing time in our room it was time to leave for out reservation at Boma!

We walked toward Jambo House and soon found ourselves at the checkin desk! We waited a few minutes and were soon seated!

Our fabulous waitress, Maureen, soon arrived to take our drink order! BIL and I tried to convince Jen that she needed to have a glass of wine with me and she said “Maybe later” But thanks to a little conspiring between BIL, myself, DH and Maureen we ended up with a carafe of wine! LOL!!! Jen’s response was “if it’s here I guess I have to drink it!!” LOL! Not sure what kind of wine it was, I can’t remember, but it was very good and gave us each 2 glasses by the end of the meal! Yipeee!!!

Then it was off to the buffet! We all found some yummy things to indulge on and a very wonderful meal. All except for DH that is!

His stomach is very sensitive and all the things we had been eating during the trip were taking their toll. So, after some encouragement from me and me promising that it was ok he decided to head back to the room before the meal was over.

The meal was yummy and the rest of us really enjoyed each others company! All too soon it was time for us to leave!

We went back up into the main lobby and looked around in the shop for awhile and then headed back to kidani on foot! Walking off some of that meal was definitely in order!

We again hung out in the room and I believe watched Up with some popcorn in hand! Then it was off to bed early after an early morning and to prepare for another early morning the next day!

PTR update next post...

PTR/life update!

Ahhh! Where to start!?

I recently made on little change to the Oct trip!!! I added an ADR at Artist's Point on the 22nd! I was able to get a 6:20 ADR so I moved out Yak and Yeti ADR from 1 pm that day to 12:30 that day to space the ressies out further!

Artist's Point was request of DH so I had to go for it! Plus, I love, love, love relaxing with an adult beverage at WL! Those rocking chairs on the porch on the back of the lobby are heavenly :cloud9:

I'm also trying to decide on halloween costumes for DH and I at this point! I was going to do Mousekeeters with white shirts, names on them and mouse ears hats but I'm not sure about that now. I'm leaning toward themed shirts at this point, we may go with Nightmare Before Christmas!!!

I'm thinking of ordering this for DH...

maybe this for me...

or a black tee and this...

Not sure! What do you think, any ideas or inspiration?!

I'm also working on my wardrobe for the trip and will post pics of all of my choices when I'm done!!!

In other news, this weekend was ladies weekend with me and my 2 BFF's from college!

We went to Mohegan Sun casino in CT. We didn't gamble, except for $5 each a slot machine just so we could say we did it. But we ate, had a few drinks, visited, laughed, relaxed, reminisced, laughed some more, shopped, peopled watched and laughed some more! It was really a fabulous time and we had the best time!

It was so nice to get away and we really can't wait to do it again!

The summer is off to a great start and tomorrow DD starts sailing lessons for summer! I'll be so happy when this dumb regatta (don't tell DH I said that) comes! Things will be much more relaxed then! Just the way I like my summer!!!

You were so close to me when you were at Mohegan!! I'm glad you had fun, you needed a break!

I love the Jack Skellington tshirts, those would be really cute. :thumbsup2

Great update and great PTR update. I love Boma! So yummy. I am really due for a Boma visit. Was it African wine you were drinking? yum!

Poor DH not lovin' the food or the food not lovin' him!

How great you got a girls weekend. Sounds like a lot of fun, especially the people watchin' thing. :rolleyes1

I think its great that your DD is going to learn to sail. It's great to learn a hobby that so few people really participate in. It's a great experience for her.

You have to tell me where in MA you are! We're up that way so many times a year!! My sister is in Groton, CT and we have friends all over RI! DH and I went to college at Roger Williams in Bristol RI so most of our college friends are from New England!

We had a blast! There's so much to do besides gambling at the casino! It's HUGE and I guess Foxwoods is actually bigger :confused3 We're going to trying to do it again in the fall. We're probably going to go to Newport! I LOVE Newport!

I'm thinking of going with those but still haven't decided for sure enough to actually order

It was African wine! So good! It was so smooth! I really enjoyed Boma! DH, not so much! His stomach is so sensitive! Poor guy!

We had a fabulous weekend! The people watching was fun! There were a lot of older (much older) people and a lot of them apparently thought they were still 20! Oh my! That's all I can say to that! There were also a lot of Bachelorette Parties and I believe those girls forgot part of their dresses at home! Maybe I'm getting old but WOW! I never, ever dressed like that or even thought about dressing like that!

I'm so glad DD can learn to sail! It's great that she spend part of her summer doing something that requires thought and skill. Plus, she's following in DH's footsteps which makes him super proud!

I am pretty close to Worcester, next time you are in this direction let me know!!

Halloween costumes are hard to figure out for adults I think.

I like those Jack Skellington shirts...costumes are not easy to figure out...trust me on that one!!

Sounds like a good time away glad you could just get away and enjoy yourselves!!!

Enjoying reading about the trip too...sorry EE was closed when you got there!!!

I just love Nemo and FOTLK...so much fun!!!!!

I love all thepictures of the giraffes at AKL. When I stayed there once, watching the giraffes was my favorite part of the night. They were just beautiful to watch.

Glad that most of you enjoyed your meal at Boma. It's one of my favorite Disney places.

Really?! I'll definitely send you a pm next time I go that way!!!! We usually got to Bristol, RI for the 4th but there's too much going on this year! :(

I had such a hard time finding a good costume for MNSSHP last year! Finding a women's Cinderella costume that didn't look like something you'd see a women on the side of a street wearing (you know what I mean) and fit my ample top was a terrible ordeal! UGH! If we had gone with the theme I wanted, Peter Pan, it would have been a lot easier! I found a great women's Wendy costume! But DS7 really wanted to be Sorcerer Mickey!

I really think we're going to go with that! I like them and I love the sparkle on the women's tee, I'm just not 100% sold yet! I'm very indecisive about stuff like this! Last year was a nightmare to try and get a costume for MNSSHP! I'm not going through that again!!!!

We had a fabulous time on ladies weekend! It was nice to get away and have fun with great friends!!

I was so bummed that EE was closed! I had really worked myself up to ride it and DH isn't going to ride it in Oct! He doesn't do rollercoasters because he gets motion sickness! I'm not going to ride alone so now I have to wait until Dec! Boo!

I really love both shows and I was so glad to get both in that day! I would have hated for Jen and fam to miss them!

So what's your schedule for Oct? Maybe we could all do drinks or a fireworks meet! I'm so excited for another Dis meet! This one has to be longer then the last one!

Thanks! I really loved those Giraffes!! They're so graceful and beautiful! I love that it seems like they're completely silent! They make no noise when they walk and are just kind of quietly, gracefully there!

I really enjoyed Boma! DH, not so much! I haven't told him we're going back in Dec :rolleyes1

This is me right now :surfweb:

Working on the stuff for the yacht club events!

All I keep thinking is 109 Days, 109 Days, 109 Days...

So sorry about the load being dumped on you with the yacht club celebration; hang in there!

That stinks that you didn't get to ride EE and have to wait until December. Yay for fitting in both shows, though!

Sounds like you had a really relaxing afternoon in the villa and then a great dinner! Sorry your DH wasn't able to enjoy it.

107 days! :goodvibes

I hope your DHs stomach condition improves...I've been there at Disney. :sad2:

A nice, relaxing meal at AP sounds :cloud9:! We did the same on our Disneymoon and I remember it as a highlight of our trip!
