Orlando
We ate breakfast in the Amerisuites lobby. We then packed up and headed for the airport.
We stopped and got Subways again. That was a disaster. I stayed in the rental car because my ankle hurt. DH went through the line and ordered our sandwich, leaving the kids to agree on something to share. BIG mistake. He finally had to pay for our sandwich and go back to break up the argument they were having. Finally, they decided on a sandwich and he paid for it. The guy behind the counter said it was a shame that he bought them separately. Otherwise wed have gotten their Sunday discount, but he couldnt give it to us if we didnt get them at the same time. I told him he should NEVER go ahead of them when he's asking them to agree on something.
We went to the airport to find out that our flight was delayed (and again overbooked). We finally boarded and flew to Mobile, AL. We had a long layover. We witnessed a southern mother with her two children. One was named Bubba. We knew this because she said Bubba, dont throw that teddy bear. If you do that one more time, Bubba, you are gonna get it! Come back here, Bubba! My DS said, I dont think were in Florida anymore, Toto.
Another overbooked flight with a sobbing teacher who was being bumped, and we were in Dallas. We picked up our car from Park n Fly. Both the kids changed into pjs and we were off.
We drove through a drive through for dinner and headed for home. Only we werent heading in the right direction exactly. It took us 2 hours to find our way back to a highway that we knew. What a relief. We got home around 1:30 in the morning and dropped into bed. Luckily the kids had slept in the car, so they were able to get up and head to school bright and early.
Hope you enjoyed my reports. I had fun writing them. It was a Magical vacation that I hope we can repeat soon. I'd like to try the new 10 day next time.
