Magic 3-19-05 ANYONE OUT THERE GOING?

Hello everyone!

We'll be with you all! We are also anxiously counting down the days till we depart. My wife, our 9 year old daughter, our 8 year old son, and I are Castaway Club members, but our 3 year old twins (boy and girl) and our babysitter will making their first trip.

We are looking forward to Pirate Night. Which night does this typically occur? When are the formal nights?

Looking forward to meeting you all in person.

See ya real soon,
John, Tammy, Alexis, Andrew, Arie, Aidan, & Nicole

We can't wait for our cruise (me, dh, dd9 and ds6-1/2). It will be out second time on the Magic, we did the Eastern route almost exactly three years ago, still our best family vacation ever, and we can't wait! Glad to see that a few other 9 year olds girls will be cruising. Just found this board about two weeks ago and registered today since everyone said how the cruise meets added to their experience.

Since I am get getting started to this later, I needed to get caught up.

Is there going to be a meeting for this group at any time? Where and when? How will we know who is who, etc?

I noticed that there were several postings about flights, etc. We are arriving on Friday around noon. We will be staying at the Embassy Suites at MCO. Anything going on Friday? We considered going to Typhoon Lagoon for the afternoon to catch some rays and try out the new attractions. We even thought about going to CityWalk for a bite at Margarittaville. We have CM family and friends who have never been there, and we wanted them to try it for once.

We have contracted with Tiffany Towncar for our transport to the port and back. We use them all the time to go to WDW. Although we won't be on the Disney bus and see the movie, for veterans and a family of 7, we will be saving the $$.

Sorry for all the Q's. Although we are Disney experts, we are novices on the boards.....

See ya real soon,
John, Tammy, Alexis, Andrew, Arie, Aidan, and Nicole

Hi Everyone,

Here's a different question. I won't be on the 3/19 Magic, but will be on the 3/20 Mariner of the Seas. We will be in St. Thomas the same day as all of you. I was wondering if any of you Disers are doing the Godfrey Tour? This is our first non-Disney cruise and I'm really missing being on these boards. I've been doing most of my research at cruisecritic.com, but it's just not the same.

Linda

3 weeks and counting.....

It's officially time to start "packing" and getting "things together".

It's been snowy here....Can't wait for the warm tropical breezes.

Let's keep some life to this thread....Please add your 2 cents.

Hello to the very few March 19th cruisers who search this board as their excitement and anticipation to their upcoming cruise vacation. I am getting organized for packing....Dotting the I's and Crossing the T's. To the current board readers on this thread, what are you most looking forward to?
Main or Late seating? Going down on Sat the 19th or a few days before?
Let's keep this thread active!!!

We are arriving in Orlando on the 18th, and spending the night at the Embassy Suites at MCO. During the day, we may go to the MK, DD, or TL, or all of them. We may switch plans and eat dinner at Margarittaville at CityWalk.

We are looking forward to lots of fun and rest. We are excited to see the new Golden Mickey show and the Pirate Night. Last time we were on the Magic was about 2 cruises before the drydock of Fall 2003. Our 3.5 year old twins and our babysitter have never been on the cruise, so we are anxious for them to share in this experience. We were at the late seating last time, and we are going to do it again this time.

Are we going to arrange a meeting time before or while on board? How are we going to recognize one another.

18 days and counting down!

See ya real soon,
John, Tammy, Alexis, Andrew, Arie, Aidan, and Nicole

Hello!!!!! I am getting anxious and excited. I don't want to pack too much or too little....I have not even written my i's to dot yet.....I am not very organized, but I am trying to be fore this vacation. We will fly in on the morning of the 19th, so I will not be around relax the day before...oh well, I can't wait to cruise with you all!! :rotfl:

Hello again. Two weeks until we sail! Hard to wait...

Anyone with a DD around age 9 or a DS around age 6 on the cruise/want to try to get them in contact ahead of time? Feel free to PM me (hopefully it will work, I only recently registered and I'm not sure if I did something wrong, I have a little red circle at the bottom of my posts that I haven't noticed on anyone else).

Hello ratfam...I will be on the cruise March 19-26 Eastern with my DD8 and DS6 and DD3. It sounds like my older 2 children will be in the same club together.... Let's have them get to know a little about each other before we cruise. Thanks- :cool1:

I wanted to add that my wife and I will have our daughter (9 yo), son (8 yo), son and daughter twins (3 yo), and our babysitter w/ us. We also agree that it could be helpful if the kids "know" a few others before they get on board, and are looking forward to meeting each other in person.

See ya real soon,
John, Tammy, Alexis, Andrew, Arie, Aidan, & Nicole

Hello BeeSkip...where have you gone? I have noticed that you have not posted in while....I enjoy reading your posts....come back. I live not too far from you...and the snow is beginning to fall again. I can't wait until our vacation! Maybe we will see you there. :confused3

Hello Alexis and Andrew. :cool1: My name is Madison and Jacob is my brother. I am 8 and my brother is almost 7. We also have a little sister who just turned 3. Our family is getting excited about the cruise is your family? :cheer2: Maybe you can write us back. Bye :flower3: Madison

hi! I have twin girls 6 1/2 who have cruised on the Magic before. They love it and love the club.

Yes, I have been away from the boards....I have been getting things ready, packing, organizing along with daily trips to Newark, De.,( 1 hour each way) basketball practice, lacrosse practice, car pool. etc. etc. (SCREAM>>>PULLING HAIR OUT!!)
Thanks for your kind words....With all that said, I am happy to be so busy...We are looking forward to the cruise so much....I called Disney cruise yesterday to go over our requests (late seating, dining rotation, table size, excursions etc)

Now we are debating over whether to park our car at the airport or pay someone to take us and then beg a family member to pick us up. The cost is the same. (parking for a week vs limo service one way)

We were wondering what movies will be shown on the Magic. We are guessing the Incredibles and Ice Princess. They are both Disney films. Any other recent Disney studio movies that may be playing?

Also, The weather here in Maryland is ridiculous. Yesterday it was 70 degrees and sunny. Today, below 30, winds gusting to 50 mph and snow....Please take me to the sunny tropics!!!

Hope eveyone is good....

Regards,

Bee

Hi Madison & Jacob, and other kids. We have a 3 year brother and sister, Arie & Aidan. I bet they'll play with each other on the boat. They have never been on a cruise before. :earseek: Andrew & I have been on it twice. We have been on both the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic. Have you been on a Disney cruise before?

We are almost done packing  since we are busy this weekend with my dance competition. :cheer2: Have you started packing yet? We are looking forward to the pirate night. pirate: What are you looking forward to?

It is snowing here in Indiana, :cold: , and can't wait for the warm weather :sunny: on the ocean. Where do you live and what is your weather?

My sister, our babysitter, our mom, and I are having a Girls' Night Out next week to get ready for the cruise. princess: We are getting our hair braided and our nails painted. I think the boys will probably just do nothing to get ready. :confused3 (Editor's Note: You know this not the truth! Dad is getting ready to lay in the sun and consume pool side drinks! :earseek: )

Write to us soon,
Alexis & Andrew
princess: :wizard:

I found out that the following movies will be playing: Ice Princess, The Pacifier, MR 300, Ladder 49, The Life Aquatic, Princess Diary 2, Nat'l Treasure and The Incredibles. I am traveling with my Mom, 3 daughters(17 and twins 6 1/2. Everyone is very excited and counting down the days!!! By the way, I live in South Florida (Boca Raton) and generally the weather has been beautiful lately. (80 and sunny-except today of course)

Laurie

My DD 17 would like to meet some teens her age. Are any of you traveling with older kids?

Laurie

Laurie,
My neice is 17 too and she will be on the cruise without any cousins her age. She is a sweet girl who enjoys cheerleading, (they just won some school county competition) and soccer. Her brother is my kids age, 7. I am sure that she would enjoy finding out something about someone before she cruised too. :earsgirl: :cheer2:

Thank you Alexis, Andrew and family for writing such a wonderful letter. We too are getting excited about the cruise. A ladies night out sounds really wonderful, maybe we will do the same thing too.

We live just south of Rochester, NY in a town called Geneseo. It is very cold here today, only about 15 dgrees....I am in second grade, I missed the age cut off by 28 days to begin school a year earlier or I would be in third grade.

My brother, sister and I packed our suitcases already. I think that we did that about 3 weeks ago. It's funny to look into my 3 year old sister's and find the only clothing to be underpants, all that she owns! The rest is stuffed animals and toys. :rotfl2:

I can't wait for the cruise, only 10 more days to go. :hourglass
Madison and her Mom

So glad to hear from you. My daughter, Erica will be thrilled to talk to your niece. My younger girls(Allison and Stephanie) will be in the same club with your son(they are 6 1/2).

Laurie
