Magic 11/20/04 Thanksgiving Cruisers?

LAMPSKIES... I started to post a message last week about the fact it was our fourth and we also had never been to Palo, but didn't. I thought folks would think us insane!!! :) I'm glad we have company! We love our dining room servers.

Besides excursions and some afternoon beer, I don't like to plan anything, however we are considering the brunch on our day at sea... I just don't like the thought of having to change out of my thong mid day !! :) (just kidding)

We are really looking forward to RELAXING in 6 weeks. Only three more weeks of fall sports. Two kids... six sports (not doing this again!!) one of which (figure skating) takes too much time and goes year round.

Ummm Doogie I am pretty sure there is some sort of no-doogies-in-thongs ban in Palos:rolleyes1

I believe that Willie is running to make the brunch ressie when he gets on the ship, so yall don't have to worry about it, just let him know if you are coming so he can reserve enough space.

Lets Conga!! Only 6 more we-eks! Only 6 more we-eks!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Re: the DIS Palo Brunch, yes I am going straight to sign up everyone as soon as I board. Disney told me that I will need names and cabin number. Then I will leave everyone a message, or tell you in person at the sail away exactly what time. I believe the cost is $10 per person plus tip. From what I have heard, it is fantastic. I have been doing the low carb thing for about 18 months, and I will probably overdose on sugar on the cruise!

Doogie, I can understand the multisports thing! I keep telling myself that one of these days, I will get my life back! But I have to tell you, I really really enjoy watching, and coaching my girls. We had some exciting soccer games Saturday.

Any other suggestions for an "end of day" place to meet and share stories about the day? Lampskies suggested Diversions, there are late night skits that are funny. Is that OK with you guys? I have not been on the ship, so I am fine with anywhere yall want!

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes
Banking off of the Northeast wind,
Sailing on a summer breeze,
Skipping over the ocean, like a song!
(from the song Everybodys Talking)

Anyone doing the doc dance yet?I am waiting for mine, since I booked our rooms two different ways I am sure one will come much sooner than the other. Has anyone else booked with dvc points? If so, do your docs come later? I am wondering if they have to go to dvc first.:yo-yo:

Hey Doogierunner, the last time I wore a thong a had a few too many beers and put it on backwards and I haven't walked the same since.......LOL! WMiller, I'm going to see about Palo. We have such hectic schedules at home that we really enjoy eating dinner 7 nights in a row together. But, maybe we can do the brunch thing!!!

Hi All,
I'm excited for Palo's on this cruise. I was too sea sick last time around that my hubby had a nice "romantic" dinner at Palo's with his mother-in-law. This time I'll take my bonine a few days before we leave!!! I'm planning to have more drinks on this one too!::yes:: :drinking1 :drinking1

Re: Lampy in a backwards thong- Did your voice sound like Michael Jackson after that? Yeah, me too! Go figure! ? LOL
(hoo-hoo)
If the thought of a Doogie in a thong gets you, don't even begin to imagine about a Lampskies or a Will Mill!! NO, wait, maybe this would help folks lose weight before the cruise! Cause you would certainly LOSE your appetite!

Re: Palo brunch- I hope you guys decide to join us. You sound like a troublemaker! In other words, just my kind of guy!

Hey, how about my ASTROS! We have been waiting for 25 years to win a playoff series! YEE HAW!

I got my scripts for scopalamine patches this week. I get seasick pretty easy, and I have found this is a must for me.

True story..........last Dec. on our Eastern sailing we caught the tail end of that late year hurricane on our way back to CC Wed. night and Thurs. we were in 26 foot waves most of the day. DW (Kim) didn't leave the room with the verandah door open 'till about 4 pm when her meds kicked in. Me, with the ship moving side to side made no difference. I had been negotiating the halls like that all sailing...LOL So I get on the elevator, aft to get DW some fruit from the buffet and the ship rolling pretty good. I get on the elevator and a guy says to me "man I haven't felt like this since my batchelor party!" LOL

Just got off the phone with DCL reservations......they told me that the Magic will be returning to GC on the 11/06/04 sailing.......Just booked the Fury Catamaran and beach party and the Bike, tube and snorkle buy 1 get 1 free at CC. Now to check out GC!!!

Lampskies, I take it that you booked the Fury Catamaran in Cozumel, right? We did that one last December on a Carnival cruise, and it was the highlight of the cruise. The margaritas were very good. But only had Mexican beer. But it was good, also.
I think this time, my girls want to do a dolphin swim at Chankanaab. Then we are going to Paradise beach for the afternoon. And if we have time, Cozumel Mini Golf.
I would like to get in a dive on the cruise, but I don't know if I can get certified by then. I may have to do the non-certified dive again. It is pretty cool, just not very deep.(25 ft)

We did the Golden Eagle catamaran in St. Maarteen last Dec. on our Eastern sailing and we LOVED it. DDs and DW love to snorkle, DD14 Jessica loves the beach and me that party thing sounds good.

Well, it's really good to hear that we will be headed to Grand Cayman....I was looking forward to meandering around there. DS will be happy since we can hit the Hard Rock in both GC and Cozumel for sure!

Still haven't brought the computer back to life yet...like you all know...life happens when you have an active family. DS's marching band received second place at the competition on Saturday...they did a great job for the small band they are...beat bands with over twice the members. No results from the auditions yet...should hear on Wednesday. I am searching for a laptop for myself...I'm having withdrawl and really need to access some of the files on the dead one for my business.

Well, just a quick post today....all of my cruise clothes are purchased and awaiting the seamstress for alterations.

Take care ya'll!

Well I'm still confused.......a few other threads say that "the Captain" has last say so on if they will stop or not. I have asked someone on the Western right now to check for sure.........

Thanks for checking into this for us Lampskies~

Ok, I gotta know. . . is anyone else's heart racing just a little when the UPS truck (or Fed Ex!) goes down the street?:hyper:

O.K., I talked to a DCL supervisor that I haven't talked to since Feb. of 03 who took care of us after our cancelled 11/29/02 Eastern sailing. She is a Sr. Mgr. She told me "you will be going to GC on your 11/20/04 sailing, I know for sure". So that is the inside info..........
