Magazines from Coke Rewards

I ordered Redbook magazine using my Coke points.I received a bill for 8.00 yesterday. Is this a mistake or do you still pay using points? Has anyone had this to happen to them? I will be calling Redbook tomorrow.

This is a mistake. We ordered Popular Science a few months back using our points -96 I think. We never received a bill and started getting the magazine within 6 weeks. I assume when the year is up, I will get a renewal notice/bill then.

I certainly wouldn't pay it. Do you still have the email from Coke you received when you redeemed the points? If you do, I would have it handy when I called Redbook.

I got Smart Money with my points. No bill. Totally free. That bill is a mistake.

Either it is a mistake or they are already trying to get you to renew. Check carefully what it says is the last issue. My grandmother who died 12 years ago was renewed for magazines until the year 2012 when she passed away. So they had her renewed from 1994 through 2012 just by sending her bills which she would just pay without realizing they were actually renewals for 2-3 years at a time. My aunts had a terrible time getting back all of that money after her death.

This is happening to my mom also......she is paid up until 2010 as of right now. SHe said "I don't send them any money ANYMORE, but they keep sending me the magazine". (and gets renewal notices at least once a month) I tried to explain to her that she has already paid up until 2010, so just don't send them anymore money, and it will end eventually. I think its terrible how they keep sending renewals, and people, (especially the elderly) think they have to send them money every other month or so.

And don't get me started on the address labels...........she is 81 and has enough address labels to last her until she is 200!
