Magazine subscriptions?

Oh goodness, magazines are a weakness of mine. I currently subscribe to a bunch including Food Network, All Recipes, Taste of Home, Beekman 1802 Almanac, Traverse, Country Woman, Living, Birds and Blooms, Redbook, Better Home and Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, Woman’s Day and probably a few I forgot. I keep telling myself to let some of them go.

You sound like me. TV Guide, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, Woman’s Day, Dogster plus for Disney Celebrations and D23.

I also stopped getting our paper due to its partisan editorial board. I don't miss it.

I have been close to cancelling our county weekly newspaper because of a couple idiots who constantly send letters to the editor, and of course they have to print them. I wish they would limit a person to only 3-4 letters per year. I get so tired of their drivel. Lately I have been looking to see who wrote the letters before I bother to read them, and if they are from the two idiots I don't bother with them. Otherwise I do enjoy the paper so haven't been able to bring myself to cancel it.

BTW, I know at least two of those you mentioned, Taste of Home and Birds and Blooms, are part of a class action lawsuit regarding how your information was used without your consent. You likely got a card or two in the mail to return to register yourself as part of the class to receive cash as part of the settlement to be distributed next year, so if you haven't done so you might want to take a look because I think you may be eligible for $100 or more.

I haven't heard about this at all.

If you don't have the card that came in the mail you could try google to see if you can come up with anything and register yourself that way. I know there was a website on the card, but I don't remember the info. and simply submitted the card back to register. Unless you didn't take the magazines back in the years where the violation occurred, I can't remember exactly what the years were and I know it's been at least two years since I had the subscription to TOH.

Private Eye. A blend of superb reporting with hilarious undertones. Basically, any political slip up and Private Eye will be there to wind them up! Probably THE only unbiased news source in the country!

I'm shocked nobody mentioned Attractions Magazine! Its the only print publication I get anymore.

Brief description:
Attractions Magazine is the only magazine that covers all of the major theme parks, tourist attractions, restaurants, resorts and beyond with news, in-depth feature articles, attention-grabbing photos, updates and interviews. Each issue of Attractions Magazine gives readers insight into their favorite happenings at the major theme parks, as well as smaller attractions, conventions and fun events.

In addition to our print and digital magazine, we have a weekly e-mail newsletter, weekly shows and vlogs, podcast, an app, and you can find us on all the major social media channels. Our main focus is on Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, Legoland Florida, Legoland California and SeaWorld Parks.

I had no clue this existed. Thanks!

This Old House
Downeast
Yankee
Time ( I have gotten this for many years but will not be renewing)
I also subscribe to 2/year that I get through a Girl Scout fund raiser, usually ones like Good Housekeeping.

I have online access to all of them but I don't use it. I want to hold it in my hands.

I do have an online subscription to Grandparents. It is free and started when I took a grandparents class before the birth of my first grandson, 5 years ago. Was supposed to be for a year, but it's still coming.

Between my Husband and myself:

Redbook
Woman's Day
Good Housekeeping
Eating Well
Popular Science
Popular Mechanics
Forbes
We've let about 3 to 4 subscriptions go, EACH!

I also receive 2 magazines monthly related to my job field.

Back in the day I used to subscribed to Psychology Today, Newsweek and TV Guide. Now I just buy People magazine every week. :)

I admit, I'm a trashy magazine junkie, and I get them in print because a group of four of us women pass them around ;):
People
Entertainment Weekly
Us Weekly
Star

and to show that I'm not totally bad:
Outside
New Mexico Magazine

Except for the last, I get them all through discountmags dot com. If you sign up for their email list, you'll get plenty of sales. I never pay more than $10/yr for any of them except People, which is $35 for the year usually around Black Friday.
