Any Disers play Mafia Wars on Facebook? I am desperately in need of some folks to join my mafia - I am tired of losing fights to virtual bullies!

I am a beginner with it myself. My husband started playing and asked me to join. At first I just agreed and didn't really play. Yesterday I started to really play around it with it and it is quite fun. The directions didn't provide much detail so I mostly learned by clicking around. In a nutshell you are a small time member of a "mafia" and you work your up. You "do" various jobs and along away accumulate weapons, cash, etc. You can spend your money in the store buying guns, bullet proof vests, cars, etc. You can also bank your money but you get charged a 10% laundering fee. You can purchase property that will provide you with a steady income.

All that said...it is a passive game - more strategic than actual action - you simply click a button to do the job, etc. Not like a playstation 3 war game or anything.

My friends told me about it and I thought it was just another application on facebook, but now I'm addicted! I hope no one is listening in on our phone conversations because they go a little like this, " So I killed off one family, but I need more wiretaps and grenades to snuff out some people that tried to rob my deli!" It's a pretty interesting game.

I have a few family members, all DISers from the WISH section of the DIS (i.e. the people who use the Disney races as an excuse to got to WDW). I'd like to keep my mafia family to people I have other things in common with, at least at first. So what better place to look than the DIS?

Yes, I'm totally hooked! I went on the Mafia Wars fan page and started adding complete strangers to grow my family. My husband laughed at me until he saw how big I was getting and he started adding strangers too.

We're the opposite DH grew his with strangers first and I resisted until I got tired of being snuffed

I've played Mob Wars for awhile but not Mafia Wars. Hmmm, I might have to try it.
