Maelstrom age restriction?

I just noticed that allearsnet.com lists minimum of age 3 to ride. I didn't realize that...our DD rode last year, and she's not 3 yet...oops

Has anyone ever had a CM mention anything about this?

None of the attractions have an age restriction. Some do have height restrictions (you can use this height calculator to see what attractions your child is too short to ride.)
Maelstrom doesn't have a height restriction, so there would be no problem with bringing an infant on.
I know that allearsnet sometimes lists different attractions that they ( not Disney) suggest are not good for certain age groups. It's sometimes not real clear what they recommend vs what Disney has as a restriction. That is probably what you saw.

When we went when DD was only 14 months we asked the CM at the entrance to the ride and she said there were not any restictions and we were able to take her on it with no problem.

I've taken my kids on that ride when they were infants.

That is one of my favorite rides and I am hoping my 2 year old will do ok on it!

I saw some restriction like that when we were there in December, but no one stopped us from bringing on our 22mo DS. He enjoyed the ride!

I've seen age restrictions for no child under 3 on Maelstrom and Goofy's Barnstormer but have never personally seen it enforced. The Barnstormer restriction was on wdw.com in the "fun facts" section HERE (it changes when you refresh the screen, you may have to refresh a few times to see it).

TIPS & FUN FACTS
The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm is designed for adults and children to be able to ride together. Children must be at least three years old to ride.

I've seen a sign outside Maelstrom, but ds has been on that ride numerous times since turning 1 (we took 4 trips to WDW between 13mos and 23mos ) and no one ever stopped us from taking him on.

DS also was 35" before he turned two and we took him on the Barnstormer, no one batted an eye.

So in short, I don't think anyone needs to worry about it.

I don't believe the ride has a height or age restriction. At WDW the rides only have height restrictions.

No age restriction, but keep a good hand on the baby. If I remember right, there is a rough patch sort of like the dip in the pirates ride, but a little rougher. I remember because I was preg with twins and was a little worried it was too rough for me.

The only ride that doess have an age restriction is the racing cars in MK, you must be 1yr to be able to go on them as you must be able to sit on the seat, not you lap.
