Hi everyone!! Well, we did it, we made our $100 deposit through Universaloralndo.com. My hubby did actually. My question is, is this the best way to go, reserve it through Universals web site, or should we have done Lowes website? We reserved a King Suite at RPR for last week in September.

If you are a Lowes first memeber it is better to make it thru them for thier benefits but I am a lowes first memeber too but made my ressies thru AAA.
Anyway you made them congrats and have a great time in september :thumbsup2

I usually go through the reservations number in the hotels section on the universal site, you could also go through the loews site.
Did you book through Universal Vacations ,as i see you paid $100 deposit, going through Loews or the hotel reservations they take the price of 1 nights room as deposit.
if you went through the vacations , i do not think this counts as a stay on your loews first account.

Hey ky07, must watch out for you ,see you will be there same time as us.

I would call Loews directly and make sure that they have your Loews first number. It looks like you are going to go frequently and should start accumulating your status to get free upgrades. Calling directly will insure that this is done properly.

Yeah and we all are trying to get together and hope it happens so just keep look out :lmao: :lmao:

I booked my trip thru Universal also. I also joined Loew's First and after reading all the disboards on Universal, I found out that you do not get the Loews perks if you book thru a 3rd party? I am going for 5 nights in May and my package costs $1,287.00 for a standard room, fotl passes and City Walk entrance? Do you mind telling me what you paid? Oh, that is for 2 people only. Just wondering what it would have cost for the room if I booked thru Loews?

What are your exact dates?
Which hotel?
Do you have AAA?

We are going Sept. 28th-Oct. 2nd. For a King Suite, Tickets, and City Walk. We are paying 1456.66. This is thru Universals web site. We have AAA, how can we apply that? Should we?

I'm going to the Royal Pacific May 4-9. No I do not belong to AAA.

You should really join AAA. On top of hotel discounts you get 10% off at souvenir shops, most food counters and restaurants.

We saved more than our membership cost last trip.

Room alone should be $1132 using the supersaver rate. Add two tickets on to that @80 and you get about $1300.

Room rate $195 for 5 nights is $975 (supersaver rate) plus two tickets @80 gives you $1135.

I still think $195 is too high for early May. It may come down yet.

Hmmmm, these were our same dates last year, and I remember paying $215 for HRH at that time, so I don't know how much cheaper they are going to get for RPR.

We paid under $150 two years ago and a few months ago, you could get APH for $139 at the RPH for late April and early May. There are a few people on the dates and rates thread with that rate. Good APH rates seem to have disappeared lately.

I already booked my trip for $195.00 a night. They won't give me a refund now, will they? It hasn't been charged to my account yet. You mentioned the rates may come down for early May.

If you book through Loews, you can always have your rates changed if they go down. You just have to call them.

I was one of those looking for the good APH rates , The best I found was $220.00 RPR std room, I was going to go ahead and book online, and my
internet service went down so I called them(1-800 be a star) and got
$139.00 may 20th-23rd and 159.00 may 23rd -24th APH, this rate was not
on the site though.
Also I added the friday night stay on May 20th so they might have lowered rates still available.
