I made our reservations for October 2nd -11th. I got a Preferred site and requested 100 loop, because I don't have a pet (that I am bringing) and I was thinking it would be nice to be close to the beach/marina/restaurants etc. That was a couple of weeks ago. Today I am having second thoughts though. I am thinking that maybe I should upgrade to a Premium site and request a loop close to the pool/campfire program. We have 6 children ages 14, 12, 10, 7, 3, and 2. We aren't bringing bikes, because that would just be way too many bikes! lol! We aren't planning on renting a golf cart, because we would have to rent 2 and that would eat up all of our vacation $$. My kids are all really excited about the big pool and the campfire program/movie each night. I'm worried about how much walking is going to be involved. I don't mind walking the parks all day, but by the time we get "home" late afternoon, I'm pooped and I don't think I am going to want to walk half a mile to the pool. I would LOVE
if I could hear some pros and cons of site location from some of you who have actually been there. Am I making too big of a deal out of this?? lol! Also, I don't think we will even eat at the Fort Wilderness restaurants more than once or twice. We will either eat in our RV or in the parks. Thanks for your help!!!
