just made my first DVC ressie today for mid November. wanted a studio at either BCV or BWV for the first week in Nov, but nothing was avail. Wound up with mid November at BWV with preferred view. Would have rather had a standard to save points, but oh well. Its funny, they said they have so much availability for SSR in November that if I wanted to swtich it wouldnt be a problem. just FYI.

Congratulations, and now you are on your way to being a DVC pro! :goodvibes

i did the same today; made reservation for VWL from December 17 to 23. Rather painless. I now have to bank my other timeshare but that's okay, I'll use it next year. I like Xmas, it will be interesting to actually stay onsite rather than offsite during the holiday seasons.

You might want to waitlist for the boardwalk view as well. If you're going to pay the additional points for preferred view, why not try for the boardwalk view studio. It takes same amount of points so you really have nothing to lose.

I can't say that I am surprised. I've said from my first stay at SSR, that this property will become an overflow property. It will NEVER be "booked" IMO. I know there are SSR fans out there but I think it is the last resort of choice for many.

I think it is funny because when I called last week for our December reservation, they only had SSR available. I am SO USED to it being only OKW available when all others are booked! In fact, because I was calling for such a popular time, I really thought I'd only have OKW as an option.

reedycreek -- Good luck with your waitlist! I've always had good things come out of waitlists so hopefully you'll have the same experience.

October/November is Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. Those two are most likely booked because of their location to Epcot. Have fun! :cool1:
