Made in China

Does that impact your purchasing decision? I have been avoiding it for toys for my little guys and anything that touches food(not confident about the dyes)

How about you? Any concerns or it doesn't matter to you? Am I being overly cautious?

It does impact my buying decision. I really try to not buy things "Made in China".

I have done pretty well - thanks to the internet. Keeps the bills a bit lower at Target also!!

I actually sent Amazon a request to post MADE IN information for all products. It was really bugging me when reviewers were posting on Melissa and Doug products and saying "great as they are made in the usa" Which used to be true but now it's all (I think all) done in China. That's when dh said I was getting a little crazy about it all.

I am like you, toys and items that touch food are a no no. DD bought some cute socks today and they were made in China but I figure those are ok.

It is easier now that DD is 8 1/2yo, not so many "toys" as games, wii stuff, etc but I do still look.

DS just asked his dad this past weekend why everything is Made In China. Outta the mouths of babes....

There are actually Made in America websites. We look to see what is on the list frequently. Little Tykes toys were there. We went looking for them.

Just the idea makes me feel like I am trying to do something good.

I'm sure some of you are Yankee Candle lovers--DW certainly is --look at the lids---the plastic ring on the lid is made here in the good 'Ole US of A. I ran the project that designed it & we make it. Check the lids--the ones we make are stamped 'made in USA' (according to DW Kohl's does not carry those, but the Yankee stores do.)

Also be careful because they're getting more sneaky now. I was looking at some sunglasses the other day and they showed "Made in P.R.C.", I was intrigued for about 5 seconds untilI realized that stood for "People's Republic of China".
