Made a Stupid Mistake... Help

So, we had reservations for dining at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant at HS, but it conflicted with something else we wanted to do, so I cancelled it (before making a new reservation... stupid, I know), and now, there's NOTHING available at that restaurant (or any other, for that matter) for the date we want (less than a month away). Yes, I know, this was incredibly stupid. But I don't have time to stalk the website everyday to see if something comes up. It's the ONE place my husband wanted to eat, and I blew away our reservation! Is this a place where we can just show up and see if there's a wait list, or is restaurant this ONLY by reservation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Head there as soon as the park opens and ask for a possible "walk-in."

(There may not be anyone there at park opening, but sometime before lunch opens,
there will be a CM staffing the sign-in desk.)

Weird! I've BEEN checking, for 3 (which is our actual party size), and for 4, but we can't find ANYTHING!

I know you said you don't have time to check the reservation website every day, but it's worth it if you want to be seated in a car. When Sci Fi accepts walk ups, they are usually seated at the picnic tables in the back and not in the cars.

We did this for lunch once and it worked! You just will most likely be seated at a table instead of a car. We still enjoyed our experience there.
