"As confirmed by a few of the band members on facebook earlier today, Mad T Party is coming to a close on November 30th. There is a chance it will resume in May if enough people e-mail in, but as for now, go enjoy your last trips down the Rabbit Hole!"

Dang it. We are going 12/12 and I was going to make an effort to get some good video. oh well.

So sad about this, the Mad T Party was one of my favourite things to do in DCA!

It doesn't surprise me, since Glowfest and ElecTRONica didn't last as long as this one has. And I think the popularity of the movie has waned, even though I think they are possibly developing a sequel, I still understand why they wouldn't keep it running indefinitely until it comes out. But I swear, if a Frozen night time party goes in there, my head is going to explode.

LOL, that's what I was thinking!!

Maybe they are shutting it down to make a more "family friendly" area at night for the rest of the rumored Frozen stuff going in that area? Although, I don't see then wanting to give up the money they make on drinks in this area. Interesting for sure!

Yeah it was due to happen. I don't mind the refreshing of the venue but it's always sad to see.

Looks like MiceChat says there's going to be a "FrozenLand" with a stage show, ice skating and meet and greet.

Yes, that's the story that was making its rounds after the show last night. It's going to be replaced by Frozenland.

I don't mind changes either and I am glad it lasted as long as it did. But if this Frozenland story is true I will admit that this annoys me a lot. It's like Anna and Elsa are taking over the whole Disney Universe. Change is good and I always love to try new things. But why does everything that changes lately have to be changed to something Frozen related? :confused3 I know it's a money maker and I love my characters, but this is getting way too much even for my liking. There's still different target groups that come to the parks.

Something Marvel, even bringing back ElecTRONica and I wouldn't be half as annoyed as I am now.

I finally caught the show a couple times on our last visit and I was pleasantly surprised. They sounded really good and the people seemed to love them. I am puzzled by their getting rid of it and not having something to replace it with, especially considering all the overpriced drinks they sell. Maybe they weren't selling as many as I thought.

I'm not happy they're leaving, but I'm not nearly as bothered by this as I was/still am about them ending Billy and the Hillbillies. We loved them and are angry each time we go near the Golden Horseshoe, or in the last couple years, Big Thunder Jamboree. The acts that replaced them are so lame we don't bother with this places anymore.

The long-rumored Frozen-invades-Hollywood Land spectacle (with a sing-along, ice rink, snow for building snowmen, meet and greet in the Animation Building, Frozen-themed food and merchandise locations, etc.) is rumored to be starting on December 20th (so the Mad T Party would need to vacate in enough time for the Enhancement Team to redecorate and redesign that area), and conveniently ending in "early May."

So it makes sense that the Mad T Party band members said that there is a chance they could return, or the show could "resume in May." Frozen would have to leave, and Disney would have to reinstate the whole Mad T Party set-up, though, and then the Frozen madness would probably be "back by popular demand" for the holidays. I don't know if it would be worth it to Disney to bring the Mad T Party back for 5 or 6 months, but if they get enough mail about it they might do it! It wouldn't be a bad idea to have the Mad T Party in DCA for the summer, if Frozen doesn't stick around past May.

I agree, Vala -- And I am tired of Frozen anyway. There are enough Frozen touches in other areas of DLR right now (in DTD, in Winter Dreams, in Disneyland). An Olaf sandman was there from Memorial Day weekend to the end of summer, I think. It's enough already.

My teens are disappointed to hear this! I loved camping out in one of those oversized plastic chairs with a glowing cocktail while they danced or played in the arcade.

We are Frozened out as well.

This is one of the things I didn't make it to on my trip, and now I'm kind of sorry I missed it. :(

I will say, though, I'm not really a drinker, and though I'm not militant about it, the rumors of intoxicated guests kind of frightened me off. I don't usually hang around people who are drinking a lot by choice.

Not sure if it was overblown, but it was a factor for me in not attending...

I've walked through it several times and it was never crowded no matter the season or time. They cycle things through that area anyway.

I would not be surprised if it's a Frozen event. They were taken by surprise and now making up for it big time. Riding the wave--or icicle.

Sad about this. My six year old asks to go listen to music EVERY visit. We'll have to go this week one last time. :sad1:

Such a bummer, we had so much fun there when we went at Christmas time... We were looking forward to seeing if they would do a Halloween twist on out next visit

They did have a Halloween version of it and if Mad T Party disappears forever, there goes the one and only trace of Halloween in DCA! DCA has been lacking in any and all Halloween Time fun since 2009 (which was the last year of Candy Corn Acres, and the last year of the Halloween Party being held in DCA), but at least the Mad T Party band did their Halloween set for a couple of years. That was the only Halloween entertainment in DCA.

I went to Mad T on my last visit for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a ton of fun! Very bummed to see it go since I won't have a chance to go on a Friday again before it's gone. :(
