Hi everyone :D :D

Im having an intimate wedding at the WP for 1pm with 12 adult guests & 7 children. I would like something really special for the children as 1 of them is my 2yr old son and its special day to.
Us adults are having our own fun laters with a fireworks cruise on the Grand 1.

I was thinking about combining my cocktail hour with a mad hatters tea party for the children, and still having mickey & minnie appear. Does anyone think this will be possible???

Also has anyone ever attended a MHTP? Whats it like? Ive only ever seen pictures.

Thanks everyone :D :D :D :D

i have a 2 yr old son too! it sure is an interesting age huh?lol! well i really don't know anything about th MHTP but i do know it's very pricey. but since you are having that many children at the wedding i would definitly consider the tea.

Your options for a childrens Tea Party are:

The Children's Wonderland Tea Party-
Hosted by characters from Alice and Wonderland on Monday to Friday, from 1:15 to 2:30 pm. This is a marvelous tea party for children ages 3-10 and include stories, lunch and "apple" tea. Cost is $25 per child. This party takes place at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.

The Perfectly Princess Tea-
This also takes place at the Grand Floridian. This isn't at 1900 Park Fare, it is in the porch like area off from the Lobby. I actually got to see one going on while I was a guest at the GF. It includes tea, snacks, and a visit from one of the Disney Princesses. The Party includes a princess doll. Hours and prices can be found out by calling 407 WDW-DINE. I do know that it is around $100 per child. I think this is beceause of the doll that is included.

The Mad Hatter Tea Party is more for adults and can run around $10,000.
Some of the specifics I remember reading some where are:
The Mad Hatter Cake runs around $980 and can not be made any smaller.
There is a set up fee per person.
The lunch will cost around $36 per person.
Props and characters will cost around $6,000.
There are some other fees and costs too that I can't think of right now, but I know that having a Mad Hatter Party is not an inexpensive thing to do.

I don't know if the Alice and Wonderland Characters are allowed to be rented out for events other than the Mad Hatter party, but it's worth asking your EM about if you would like to have them attend your cake cutting reception.
Also, I do know that Alice and the Mad Hatter can be found at the 1900 Park Fare Breakfast Buffet.
Hope all that helps! Good Luck!

Thank you WildernessBride :D

If your 2yr old is anything like mine they are perfect angels one moment & lil monsters the next lol, thats why i want to keep him busy and tire him out so he will sleep for the babysitter.

Once again Meranda thank you for the info :D . I had no idea it would cost that much, DH nearly has a heart attack when he saw it lol. But were looking into it anyway as it seems such a fun and unusal thing to do.
Meranda your pictures look really beautiful and you look a true princess is cindys coach! Did u use DPS? We are thinking of changing ours (as 12 pictures dont really seem like much) to Randy Chapman.

:D :D :D :D
